    Probably 70% of our orders contain multiple lines. The automate rules where one of the reasons we chose ShipStation, but for use the just don't work. Why can't they detect if an order contains a SKU if there is more than a single item in the order?? It's such an important feature and the automation rules are severely limited without this functionality.

    We also like to be able to automatically split orders too (based on SKUs within an order. Can't do that either.

    We’ll keep this in mind but would like to see more interest from other users before we pursue this idea. If you know any other users that are interested please send them here!
    In the meantime, could you let us know what criteria you would base these rules on?
    Any other workflow information for how you’re currently working around this, and how you would like to do this in the future would be helpful.

    Could really do with this too. A lot of our orders contain items that are available for immediate dispatch and also items with a future ship date (like a pre order).

    We'd really like to be able to create a rule that auto-splits any order if certain criteria are matched (i.e. split item into new order if SKU contains 'xyz' or if product title contains 'abc'). At the moment this has to be done manually, each day for hundreds of orders, which is prone to human error, and take a LOT of time. Please, please implement something like this.

    Thanks for leaving your thoughts, everyone! We’ll keep this in mind; for now, please leave your votes and comments to help keep this discussion active. Being specific in how this would affect your workflow and how you’re currently doing it will help our product team to implement new features.

    For now, as an alternate workflow suggestion, you could be marking these orders as shipped. You would want to set the carrier to “Other”, and then use the tracking field for your “Pickup” or “Pallet Delivery” custom message.
