So, just to help us better understand, would this idea work best for you if it automatically printed whenever an order came in? So, say, an order comes in on Sunday at 4:00 a.m., it should print then. Or would it be better if whenever you log in to ShipStation and have it active that you would prefer to have the packing slips printed out then?
We would also love to see this customizable for any document (aka, we would like to auto-print the order summary for each order as it comes in).
@Kenneth Brown "In Automation rules add print label, print packing slip. Boom"
Exactly! This is what we need. ShipRush offers this.
How likely is this to get on the agenda? After 6 months of using shipstation, we love the tool, but two things are forcing us to consider moving:
- Bulk printing order summaries- right now we have to go 1 by 1 and print out each order summary. We need it to process the order, since it has the picture + customer comments. Our order volume is growing each month.
- Auto-print- other shipping tools (such as ShipRush) offer this.
- We basically have 1 person dedicated to the above two tasks. When in reality, this job should be entirely automated and that person can be much more useful elsewhere.
Shipstation is by far the best tool overall in terms of look/feel and overall architecture, but it is missing some very intuitive streamlining features - two two above being the most important for us.
Hi, I have this feedback as well.
To answer the admin question: the order summary includes customer comments, internal SKU, & image.
We could theoretically customize & use the packing slip, but that has a lot of information that we wouldn't want to show a customer. So we would to have 2 packing slip templates and we would have to go back and change the store's packing slip for every order when we're ready to print the actual packing slip. Obviously not a reasonable task.
Thanks for leaving your thoughts, everyone! We’ll keep this in mind; for now, please leave your votes and comments to help keep this discussion active.
