I really think multi tray printing could solve a lot of the many issues that persist with individuals printing problems.
E.g. A two tray printer has integrated labels in tray one - plain paper in tray 2.
The Create label button triggers three printing jobs.. Label, Packing Slip, Picking List
Using these two papers gives a shipping label + packing slip across two pages Half on the integrated label page and continues on plain paper followed by a picking list. All nicely collated 1,2,3
Hi, everyone! We’re still interested in seeing more users add their support for this idea, whether through votes or comments, so please keep them coming!
In the meantime, here are example codes for our packing slips that may point you in the right direction: https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/206639907
Please reach out to us through chat or at email@example.com if you’d like some more explanation on the examples.
This does seem pretty old fashioned not to have WYSIWYG. Orderly Print is a much simpler product than Shipstation but offers very good and simple to use Document editing. Would be a big enhancement to Shipstation to make use of the idea of multiple document templates that are then customisable with a simple menu, colour, font etc..
Thanks for leaving your thoughts, everyone! We’re still reviewing this idea that has definite merit. For now, please leave your votes and comments to help keep this discussion active. Being specific in how this would affect your workflow and how you’re currently doing it will help our product team to implement new features.
We also need a customisable pick list
Hi, @everyone! Can you help put this into perspective and add how often (relative to your single page packing slips) you’re needing to print additional pages?
For example, in a week 3/4 of your orders require a single page for packing slips and the remaining 1/4 require 2 pages; very rarely does an order need more than 2 pages.

Allow the packing slip and Shipping label to print off at the same time on two different printers without having to hit print button twice.
This has been kicking around for a long time!!!
For us multi printer printing would be the best solution
'Create label' triggers a chain of printing on different printers
We have the same issue and need a more elegant solution to avoid having to manually collate labels and packing slips. Integrated labels is an option but options regarding what labels can be used is very limiting (ideally a menu of commercially available label sizes should be available to select). Also then issues arise where large orders with multiple items require more than one page.
Shipstation Connect is great but I'm finding printing formats and design options very limited compared with other solutions like Orderly Print. This is in no way a competitor for Shipstation, but does have some great and simple printing options..
I realise there is a lot of potential complexity but printing feels a little left out of what is an amazing shipping solution. For instance a solution that makes use of multi tray printers, picking the first sheet from tray one (with integrated label) and if required the second from tray 2 (plain paper) etc....
