    Hi @everyone!

Thanks for your continued support of this feature idea. With your feedback and input we definitely understand how searching by phone numbers is something valuable to many users. We are still reviewing this feature and are looking into ways to implement it. As we get closer to a decision, we’ll continue to keep you all posted.

I was shocked to find phone number search isn't implemented. Whats the big deal? Just strip out any non-numeric characters and do the search. Would take me less than an hour to write the code. Or better yet... just do a partial search. say the number in the db is +22(222)765-8424. Then when a search string of 8424 is put in it will match all records with 8424. We can eyeball the right order from there.

Hey @Nicholas, thank you for bringing this up! Currently, we’ll show you all the services but if you go to the rate calculator you’ll be able to see which ones are applicable.

If you’re looking at the order details window, there is a button that says “Send to Calc”. This’ll send the postal code, weight, and size (if you’ve entered them) to the rate calculator to show you available services.

If you’re looking at the order from the sidebar and grid, there is a calculator icon next to the Ship from field that will do the same thing.

Hopefully this will help you while we wait for other users to chime in.

If you use the in-order calc function it does list only eligible services same as on seller central.

Thank you for the update, Gene! The product team will review your request and you’ll hear from us once we have made a decision.

We’d also like to hear what everyone else thinks, too! Any helpful details you can provide about how you use and track Manual Orders will help us understand your point of view. Please be sure to comment here in the forum so everyone can see your ideas.

Yes you can add ship date and tracking and carrier when marking order as shipped. So you are capturing all the needed information..... so why not display it on the Shipments page so we can easily check tracking status like any other shipment? Makes no sense. To answer your question, it doesn`t happen daily. It comes up in special situations. For instance mailing to APO/FPO military bases or certain countries like Russia, Brazil I have to go to the PO to get carrier insurance or use Stamps.com because the Insurance company you use is horrible and does not cover those claims.

Like I said, it would make my business more efficient since I would be easily able to check tracking status of ALL my packages on the one Shipments page. As it stands, I either have to check it manually or it falls through the cracks since out of site out if mind.

To make it easy, you dont need to do anything special with these - they can be ignored on reports since you do not have cost info. The only thing that needs to be done is display it on the Shipments page with the others.

    Thank you.

Its ludicrous that if i need to go to the PO and get a manual tracking number for any reason then that order shipment cannot be tracked as any other in SS. That order should be shown on the shipments tab along with tracking status. Seems a no-brainer... the only reason i can see for it not being implemented is pettiness. Come on grow up.... we need to track ALL of our shipments for sound business purposes and isnt the point of SS for improving productivity?

Thanks for voting! We’d like for your ideas to gain more traction before making a decision. Can you tell us your use case for tagging your Shipments? We’ve received well-stated examples in the comments, but would like to hear more voices stand behind this idea.

Please comment here in the forum so we all can hear your thoughts!

This is needed to highlight certain shipments for attention and follow-up. For instance if a package is lost then how do you highlight that in the shipments screen? We want to tag it to signify that an insurance claim needs to be filed. It is surprising that this capability is not available.

    Hello,

Thank you for submitting this request/voting and helping us to improve ShipStation! We will review an integration with U-PIC and let you know once we have an update.

In the meantime, you can always select “Other” as the insurance provider in ShipStation, then add the insurance to the package outside of ShipStation.

    Thanks again!
    ShipStation

This is urgent!!! I will not use Shipstation unless I can choose my insurer. I need only U-pic the other insurers are no good. Endicia has partnered with u-pic and also stamps.com uses u-pic. If shipstation cannot do this I will go back to stamps.com.
