    Hello,

We are still interested in supporting LTL Freight. However, our current infrastructure does not support any LTL shipping providers. We will continue to review the integration and let you know once any updates occur.

    Thanks again!

Partnering with an integrated cloud TMS provider would allow you to access carrier infrastructure without the expense of developing your own integrations. Efreightsolutions.com is our TMS provider and we're able to link all of our carriers to provide real time rates. They also have an open API which can be used for rating, tracking, pushing new orders, etc. We're actually looking at the cost to develop our own system, although it seems like it would be valuable to a lot of people. Maybe I can cash in on building "Shipstation for Freight". Hmmmm.

I don't know how, but this needs to be cross linked with the post about automation rules being able to assign package sets. I would guess that the lack of functionality to assign package sets with automation rules is tied to the fact that there is not API integration for multiple packages (which package sets are).

Almost every single one of our orders requires multiple packages. This means that we have to manually process almost every single order. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we need this!

Over 2 years old and no movement? Multiple packages must be able to be automated. Why would this not be standard functionality to apply a package set to an order with automation rules?

Really need to be able to assign multiple packages using automation rules. The bulk of our orders are for single SKU's which require shipment in two packages. This means that we must manually assign package sets to each shipment. We should be able to do this with rules. Please investigate improving this functionality.

Why has there been no advancement on this for 2 years? Customers need the ability to create multiple packages with API, and automation rules specifically. Please re-open this issue and add this badly needed functionality.

Please add this feature. We ship large furniture items via FedEx. These items are a single sku with a single quantity on an order but it must ship in multiple packages. Currently there is no way to set automation rules to assign multiple packages or a pre-saved package set. This seems like "no-brainer" functionality. The current system forces us to individually prepare each shipment which takes on average about 4-6 different "clicks". This should definitely be added.

Thanks for leaving your thoughts, everyone! We’re still reviewing this idea that has definite merit. For now, please leave your votes and comments to help keep this discussion active. Being specific in how this would affect your workflow and how you’re currently doing it will help our product team to implement new features.

This should absolutely be built in functionality. We sell large, heavy furniture items. This means that most of the times, a single SKU will ship in multiple boxes by our ground carriers. Don't even get me started on the lack of any integration with LTL freight TMS providers. Anyways, it means for every order with multiple box, single sku items, we have to manually process the shipment to add multiple boxes.

I really hope there's a way to get traction on this!
