@James, thanks for checking in on this one. We’re still interested in this idea and we don’t have a timeline on it. This is something that will need further investigation from our end as well as working with UPS to be able to further integrate Hazardous Material support.

    Hello!

Thank you so much for voting on this feature and helping us continue to improve ShipStation. We are currently reviewing the option to support Dangerous Goods via FedEx and will be sure to update you once we have made a final decision. Please note that our integrated FedEx reseller, FirstMile, does currently support this functionality given their relationship with FedEx. I recommend contacting them for more information.

    Thanks again,
    ShipStation

Thanks for your feedback! It looks like you are referring to the carrier menu when marking orders as shipped. If this is incorrect, please let us know which carrier list you’re looking at in the comments below.

The product team will review your request and you’ll hear from us once we have made a decision.

In addition to what has already been suggested, it would be really helpful for us if we could maintain a list of our own carriers that we could then select from the "Mark as Shipped" screen. For example, we use local delivery couriers (e.g. one of them is called K&H Couriers). When I go to the "Mark as Shipped" screen, I'd like to be able to select "K&H' as the carrier and input their tracking number.
I realize this won't be integrated in any way, but that's fine. Currently, the only option i have is to choose "Other" as the carrier but then it doesn't allow me to specify any further details about which carrier i actually used."

We are after EXACTLY that functionality and 100% understand it would not be maintained in SS. THAT said, to make it easier for the developers, maybe we could just have a settings page that allowed us/(anyone) to select which ones were displayed (helping "hide" others. As well as add our own to the list that had no options to update marketplace, but WOULD allow us to email our customers.

    Thank you,
    David K at Growers House

This would be VERY helpful to have working properly for us too. The Order Total is for the total of "That order's individual shipment" - Not the Total Paid on the entire order.

We run into this daily. We have a rule set to add Signature Required when the Order Total (*that* shipment) value is greater than $750. Scenario for a single order follows:

Customer orders 100 items that sell for $10/each, we have 99 of them in stock so we ship 99 of them on one shipment who's value is $990 (over $750, so the automated rule adds a signature required to *that* shipment (costing us $6).

Later on,we ship the last single item (the 100th) all by itself, but when that order goes to ShipStation with an Order Total of $10 (under the $750 Order Total), but ShipStation only considers the Paid Total, so the Automation rule adds a signature required flag costing us $6 on a $10 item that FedEx automatically covers the first $100 if anything happens to that package.

Not to mention the inconvenience for a customer who has to be sure to be home to receive small inexpensive followup items, just to sign for them.

Thanks for posting your idea here, @Julia! At this time delayed notification is tied to both marketplace and customer updates. Is there something you’re looking for with a delayed shipment email confirmation?

From ShipStation users to my own ecommerce experiences, I’ve seen email confirmations edited to: “Your shipping label has been created, please wait X hours before checking your tracking number” and this alleviates your customers reaching out to you.

    Here's what we're after:

    1. When a tracking number is generated (and shipping label is printed) we would like to update the Marketplace (Brightpearl -CRM) with the tracking number and consider the order "shipped" to our Marketplace.

    2. We would like to use the ShipStation Notifications to affect the above step when it happens, yet ALSO, choose to NOT email the customer according to this Notification setting:: "This shipment first hits the mail stream".

    So, in this area:

"ShipStation can send email and marketplace notifications at points you can specify below.
Send email and marketplace notification when...
[ ] Shipping label is created
[X] The first of these conditions is met:
[X] The shipment first hits the mail stream

IHOWEVER, here is what we would like; Notify Marketplace when the Shipping labels is created and SEPARATELY email when one of the conditions is met? (for us, the shipment hits the mail stream)

If this is not possible, please pass it up stream, as we have to fight the lesser of two evils from our business flow. Other savvy companies might really benefit from this option too. Our situation is easy:

We want our Marketplace (internal CRM system and our staff) to know that the package is boxed and labeled, BUT, FedEx leaves full-size trailers in our warehouse parking lot and picks the trailers up later in the evening, so when a customer gets and email at 10am with a FedEx tracking number, it might not show in FedEx system until 8pm that night.

Ideally, there would be separate options as presented in this suggestion, like this:

"ShipStation can send email Notifications at points you can specify below.
    Send email notification when...
[ ] Shipping label is created
[X] The first of these conditions is met:
[X] The shipment first hits the mail stream

    AND:

"ShipStation can send Marketplace Notifications at points you can specify below.
    Notify Mareplace when...
    [X] Shipping label is created
[ ] The first of these conditions is met:
[ ] The shipment first hits the mail stream

-Providing independent control over the two separate types of notifications (per Selling channel of course).

The obvious benefit to the customer is that they don't get an "empty/useless" tracking/shipment email that might not work for many many hours. Makes us look bad and solicits emails and contact from customers asking if their package is really shipping or not...

    Thank you!
    David
