Expedited Max labels within the USA still don't integrate. those need to be brought into the program as well.

Hi @erainey, thank you for taking the time to post this! The declared value depends on what information ShipStation receives from Shopify and I’m not seeing any information to tell ShipStation how to discount products accordingly.

If feasible, I would try using Shopify’s “Price” and “Compare at Price” if you’re discounting individual items to signal to your customers there is a discount.

If this is a product-based discount you might find it helpful to set the declared value for your products in ShipStation. This is located under “Customs” when you are viewing Product Details for a sku.

Lastly, if neither of the options above are applicable, I recommend making these orders more visible so you and your shippers know to adjust the declared values by applying order tags with automation rules. The rule would look like “If SKU is X, then apply order tag Y”, then you would use a…

it's not just a problem with Shopify. We're using WooCommerce and have the same problem. Need to be able to see when a line item coupon affects the declared value and adjust automatically.

@ShipStation - Thanks for the tip. I did end up exporting the Raw Data to be able to send a mail merge in Outlook. :) But it'd be a lot easier to not have to do that, and i'd also have the history of having sent those emails to those customers in ShipStation.

Just had a situation come up- we're releasing a 4.0 version of a book, and want to send an email offering a free ebook version of 4.0 to all customers that bought 3.0 in the last month, to eliminate any discontent in missing the new version.
I've tagged all the customers but I can't do an automation rule and "reprocess automation rules" because these are all shipped orders not "open" orders.

This would also be very convenient for backordered products. There's often this window between when a product gets setup as backordered with an automation rule notifying them of the delay and which orders already missed that window. Sometimes hitting the refresh automation rules to all open orders will do it, but sometimes I don't have the automation rules and filtering setup in a way that works like that.

It would be a lot less time consuming to be able to select all 10 people affected and send them an email thru SS, instead of exporting the list, as many people have stated here already.

Hey @Tactical Keychains, thank you for bringing this up. I saw a couple of your other comments regarding this, too, and hope we can identify a business challenge that users will agree with so our product team can move forward with a solution that addresses this challenge.

It sounds like you’re interested in a quick way to combine customs declaration lines to fit within the 5 line limit imposed by some of our carriers, is that right? How often would you say you run into these types of orders vs orders within the limit?

@ShipStation - I appreciate your response, that helps a little bit in that I don't have to delete out the other line items, (I'd already figured out how to change all my products to have a generic customs description of "herbal supplements") but the real delay is in entering the value and quantity. It's also extra frustrating because I can't paste values into the value field, which would make life slightly easier in that I could copy the product total and paste it into the value field instead of having to remember it. It's just another opportunity for human error.

This is a big issue for Mail Innovations as well. They only allow one line item on the Customs Declaration, so if I have an order with multiple items, I need to go into each order, delete all but one item, change the name to a generic "herbal supplements" and then change the value to be the Product Total of that order. And repeat for each MI order. It's not fun. I'm debating switching back to WorldShip for this functionality.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your feedback on how we can improve ShipStation for your business. We look here to learn about common obstacles for our users so we can work on solutions.

After reading many of the responses, it appears that one of the underlying needs described was to print labels on a 4×6 thermal printer and packing slips on an 8.5×11 printer, which you can now accomplish in ShipStation. http://feedback.shipstation.com/forums/126593-request-a-new-shipstation-feature/suggestions/4446885-print-thermal-shipping-labels-in-conjunction-with

Since you’re asking for the ability to have one button for this function, we’ll leave this request open. Can you give us more detail about about your current workflow and what’s the hardest part not having a button that prints both labels/packing slips simultaneously vs two buttons?

    Thanks,
    ShipStation

Efficiency. 2 buttons takes extra time. And if you're trying to collate packages into shipping methods and then print the packing slips and labels, it's not just 2 buttons instead of 1. It's 16 buttons instead of 8.

Overall I'm not impressed so far on the efficiency of clicks in ShipStation, especially for a company so dedicated to efficiency that it created the whole automation rule functionality (which is great by the way).
