We need this feature. We need our users to be assigned to a group or location. That way 5 employees at our store do not see the orders at our warehouse and vice versa. We cannot turn our automatic receipting in our POS system on until this feature is added to ShipStation. You will save us so much time. Please add this feature.

Scan to Verify and Print is now AVAILABLE in the new version of ShipStation, and also now supports product identification by UPC, SKU, or both values.
We will mark this feature complete once Scan to Verify is a standalone mode from Print.
Additional features, settings are also in the works. Thank you all for your continued patience.

I love ShipStation but the biggest issue we run into using this software is how to handle multiple quantity orders. Scan to Verify would solve this hurdle in our fulfillment process.

Currently, we print our picklist by category. We look for particular items and then bring them back to the shipping area. if an order has 5 items but we only found 4 then the items are placed on the partial shelf, we leave internal notes as to which products we did find, and the missing product is searched for again.

If the item is not found by the time we print again all 5 items print out again on the picklist. Then we end up double pulling the first 4 items again. With scan to verify an awesome feature would be once an item is "scanned" for that order it will grey out and not show up on the picklist anymore. That way we would know which items we currently have found. Those items will not show up on the picklist anymore and we can just focus on the missing item. Also, we would never send out an incorrect item or quantity again. This has to be the next released feature by ShipStation. It just makes so much sense.

Does anyone know what third party extensions exist that will do this in ShipStation?

We currently scan the UPC of an item into the search and it brings up the order. This works really well for orders that only have one item but does not work well for multiple item orders. This has been something relatively new for us and I cannot even tell you how many mistakes this has avoided. So much time and money went into shipping errors with return shipping, customer service calls and much more. This has been awesome and I would love to see it built better and deeper into ShipStation

I agree! We need this feature. Right now we are exporting both the pick list and order summary list so we can have the convenience of picking multiple line item orders all at once and have their locations. This is a much needed feature for us. It would save a lot of our pullers time.

Thanks for leaving your thoughts, everyone! We’re still reviewing this idea that has definite merit. For now, please leave your votes and comments to help keep this discussion active. Being specific in how this would affect your workflow and how you’re currently doing it will help our product team to implement new features.

Please move the status from Under Review to Planned as this is a very important feature for our picking team. They currently pick with limited information and our workflow would be so much more efficient.
