    Scan to Verify and Print is now AVAILABLE in the new version of ShipStation, and also now supports product identification by UPC, SKU, or both values.
    We will mark this feature complete once Scan to Verify is a standalone mode from Print.
    Additional features, settings are also in the works. Thank you all for your continued patience.

    Hey, @tysonmiller! Thanks for taking the time to add your idea! We’ll keep your idea in mind for future updates, but for now we’d like to see your idea gain interest from other users before making a decision.

    You’re right, Customer Records are referenced by their email addresses. You mentioned this is “quite a few” orders. Have you tried to use a CSV file to create these manual orders? This way you can assign the username to a different value to create multiple Customer Records under one name—if not to just do your manual orders all at once.

    I second this with TWO HANDS IN THE AIR! We utilize SS in the same way that I think Katrina does and it would be great to allow users to see their stock via the log in profile they use to enter manual orders. We would/could tag stock to their identifying color code and they would only have access to that stock. Something similar is already happening when they can "only see their assigned orders" when they log into their profile. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this happen. i am sure there are others out there that use SS in this same way....

    Hey, everyone! We’re still interested in this idea since it gained a lot of support when it first came out. Can you tell us more about customizable views and user permissions?

    As per our last update, have you tried using User Restrictions to allow your new shippers to only see orders assigned to them?

    We agree with Larry Saint-Marie, this limited access log in would be fantastic. We operate in a very similar way and with the various requests from our customers, we would need a dedicated admin. Would be fantastic to have this solution:

    "I would like to give a client a way to log in and only see shipments, tracking numbers assigned to the client. No dashboard, no order management, no reports on shipping costs, no tabs, no menus, nothing but the shipment table, filtered on "assigned to"
    currently not possible - too much other data is accessible ( try giving a user access to "reporting" and check the "only see orders assigned to user" ....that gives full access to all order data ! )"

    It would be great to be able to customize each section for each of our users. From only being able to enter and see an order all the way to being able to ship it out. We have had issues with users messing with the shipping cost/carrier and logging out. When the products are set to ship the wrong carrier is used, etc. So disallowing them to see/adjust that section would be helpful for just order entry users.

    Thanks for letting us know your thoughts. We see a lot of value in your idea and we would like to know more on your current workflow when managing the inventory of shipping materials.

    Once we can gather more feedback from our users with this need and do some research ourselves, the product team will review your request and you’ll hear from us once we have made a decision.
