    Hi Caleb!

An order’s record itself can never be deleted. It can be inactivated, but an order cannot be deleted. No order entry will be permanently wiped from the system. However, the system is working as intended that the order activity is removed after roughly 2 months.

And to help us understand your workflow, how frequently are you going into orders that are older than 2 months old to check the activity? And is this under situations such as a wrong delivery address or when trying to see who on your team shipped a package, etc. that you go back to view these older orders’ activity?

I have to add that this is incredibly frustrating for us as well. We're on a monthly billing cycle with our clients, so if they're only one cycle behind on looking at things and have a problem, we can't see which employee screwed up. And especially when dealing with international shipments that take 6 months to be returned to us, it's impossible to investigate anything. At a bare minimum, it should store history for a year. You're storing plain text data (or it should be plain text data), it doesn't take that much space. If you're not, at 60 days instead of deleting it, convert it to one plain text field.
A support worker suggested I could do that myself using internal notes. Which would cost me about $25,000 in staff time, annually. Maybe when ShipStation first started, storage like this was a concern, but with hard drives now being measured in Terabytes for low-end consumers, I find it hard to believe that it's still an issue.

Hey, @gosatest, thank you for taking the time to bring this up! We’ll keep this in mind, but for now we’d like to see if other users are experiencing similar business challenges to yours before moving forward.

We have a similar issue. Even just the option to hide the rates entirely would be a big step forward.

Thanks for voting! We’d like for your ideas to gain more traction before making a decision. Can you tell us your use case for tagging your Shipments? We’ve received well-stated examples in the comments, but would like to hear more voices stand behind this idea.

Please comment here in the forum so we all can hear your thoughts!

We often need to search through our shipment data, and it would be vastly helpful if we could search by certain things: SKU, Item Name, Order Tags, etc. All the advanced search options that are available under Orders are great, we'd just like the same options under Shipments. Especially Tags, and SKUs.

I've also had several instances where the Order History has disappeared on my orders if it's been too long. The tracking number should still be stored, and it should still be in the same highly visible place, since that's usually customer service issue #1.

Thanks for your input! You’re right that we currently have limited bulk actions for customs information, so we’d like for your idea to gain more support from other users before making a decision.

Any information you can add here may catch the attention (and votes!) of users in similar situations. Please be sure to comment here in the forum if you’re still interested in having bulk actions for customs information.

In the meantime, since we do not support Kickstarter directly, here is an idea from another user to integrate with Kickstarter you may be interested in: http://support.shipstation.com/forums/126593-request-a-new-shipstation-feature/suggestions/5619286

@Admin we have been using the customs default settings to always list one consolidated description at one price, but we have to manually update the value in many cases. The quickest way to do it en mass is by using the sidebar plus some muscle memory in terms of number of times to press TAB, but it'd be much easier if we could batch edit the description, quantity, declared value, and country of origin.

@Admin We know we can pull the data from product line data, but it's not helpful. The example is: Let's say we have pencils uniquely identified by SKU by color. A customer orders a full rainbow. If we set customs by searching product line data, we get 7 lines on our commercial invoice that are overly specific. Whereas if we have our default set to just say "Colored Pencils" with a value for the whole set, it's less confusing for customs and actually gets delivered with fewer issues. (and doesn't have to spill over onto multiple pages on the CN-22). 99% of our shipments work like this, with a much better international delivery rate listing the items in sum as one item. However that sum (country of origin, specific description) changes from project to project, so the ability to bulk edit would save many hours of work.

We have the same issue. This has a HUGE impact on our business, as Kickstarter is one of our main driving forces, and as such we have hundreds to thousands of orders shipping internationally that are exactly the same. Currently the only bulk action available for Customs is the Content type. It would be helpful to be able to bulk edit the description, quantity, value, HS code, and Country of Origin, even if it means that it assumes there is only one line of customs data.
