  1. return labels in bulk

    We need to print return labels in bulk. With shipstation, we have to do this one label at a time which is tedious. We should be able to make return labels in batches, just like we are able to create labels in batches. One label at a time just does not make any sense at all.

  2. Have one button to print both label and packing slip

    It would really help to speed things up if you could choose to prompt the print screens for both labels and packing slips. Creating a printing queue could also help with printing management.

For us it means having to create a manual label via FedEx which on it's own wouldn't be terrible if orders only contained fuel, but when orders contain multiple items and only one shipment box is fuel, it gets cumbersome.     Hi, everyone! Here’s an update:

    We recently added the ability for you to mark your FirstMile DHL Global Mail shipments as “Dangerous Goods” under “Other Shipping Options” where you’ll be able to select “ORM-D” or other types of goods.

    If you’d like for us to add it for any other carriers, please let us hear you in the comments section of this forum! Another piece of information that will help is how often you’re shipping these goods.

  4. Set insurance amount for carrier in Automation Rules

    In our business we have multiple forms of insurance on our shipments as we sell a lot of laptop computers and need to make sure it is safe. Within our FedEx Account we have discounted rates and special policies so we only need to apply a set amount of insurance to each package as it is cheaper to insure it for more or less than the sell price usually.

    The current option in Automation Rules only allows you to set the Insurance to Carrier, ShipStation Insurance or External/Other.

  5. Insurance on COST, not RETAIL price

    When insuring a package, we want to be able to insure just the COST of the product if damaged or went missing, not the RETAIL VALUE. Currently your software takes the full retail value and uses that to determine the insurance amount. This doesn't make sense as shipping carriers will only reimburse you on the cost, not the retail value.

    This is a fault, as no system is set up like this.

    If I lose a $1000 item, but it only cost me $100, Fedex will only credit me $100.

    So why am I paying insurance on $1000 if Iêd…

  6. Ability to Rename Batch

    The ability to rename batches would be great. There is now the ability to have multiple batches, which great for sorting orders waiting to be fulfilled. However, it is not very easy to sort without memorizing which batch # is for which group of orders for that day. If there was a way to even add a keyword to the end of the batch number [ex. batch#1234567 - product] So that when I am sorting through a zillion orders assigning them to each batch they need to be in, it is much easier to remember which batch to put them…

  7. Rate calculator country selection improvement

    When using the rate calculator, the process of selecting a destination country is awkward, especially compared to the country selector in the "manual order entry" window.

    Let's say I'm shipping to Thailand...

    In the manual order entry window:
    - click or tab over to the country box
    - start typing "Th" and instantly, the text autocompletes to "Thailand"...no hunting required

    In the rate calculator:
    - click on the current country
    - must use mouse to scroll through the entire list and then click on the country...

    This may seem like a little thing, but I'm way slower slogging around with…

  8. Add the date to the Shipment Manifest

    We would like to see the date added on the Shipment Manifest. It used to be in the title of the shipment manifest on the old ShipStation, but it is not on the new ShipStation's Shipment Manifest at all. Please add it back to that document.

  9. The ability to have decimal points in the quantities.

    We sell items by weight, so when someone purchase 1.25 lbs it shows up as a quantity of 1.25. Shipstation rounds this up to a quantity of 2 which makes all our packing slips and international shipping labels incorrect. When a person purchases 1.25 lbs at $80 for instance their international shipping label should show they spent $100 but instead Shipstation rounds it up to $160. This is inaccurate and they will then possibly be liable for duties on something they didn't buy. I don't understand why you wouldn't allow decimal points in the quantities. If you did this it…

  10. Allow shipment of unpaid orders

    ShipStation is a great tool for shipping items but it shouldn't force all orders to be paid before they are shipped.

    We ship a lot of orders that are "paid" by purchase order and having to mark them as paid in ShipStation in order to ship them creates accounting issues. When we pull the orders Into Quickbooks, they come across as paid and we have no automated way of tracking unpaid invoices.

    I like the idea of identifying orders in ShipStation that are not paid but let me decide if I want to ship them!

    Customs 2014: Combine all requests for fixes (actually government requirements) to Customs forms (both Commercial Invoices and the 3 possible Certificate of Origins) so that they are completely system generated within ShipStation.

    currently there are about a dozen different requests to all focused on the incomplete customs forms generated out of SS. if you cant API to our existing complete and customs compliant forms from FedEx or UPS, please allow us a template to merge out SS shipping info onto.

We do not actually generate any of the Commercial Invoices or Customs Forms. We send the shipment information to the carrier, then they generate the form in realtime and send it back to ShipStation so you can easily manage/print it.   13. Adjust weight listed on automatic return labels

    Our outgoing shipments are about 8 ounces heavier than the return shipment. Am loving the convenience of the auto-generated return labels to bother manually correcting the weight on the return labels, but would love a feature that allowed me to set the weight of the return shipment to a different amount (in our case, "outgoing weight-8oz").

    check out lightspeedretail.com, it is a complete POS for retail brick and mortar and webstore, does the inventory, enables you to check inventory from anywhere you can get a wifi connection!   17. HazMat service with my already in place contract from UPS

    I ship smokeless powder which qualifies as Hazmat, a feature I need. Please, as we are Mac based, UPS seems to have no plans for an Apple version of World Ship and Hazmat has to be computer generated.

    @James, thanks for checking in on this one. We’re still interested in this idea and we don’t have a timeline on it. This is something that will need further investigation from our end as well as working with UPS to be able to further integrate Hazardous Material support.

    I'm fairly new to ShipStation, but it seems one of the obvious enhancements would be to allow customization of the packing slips without needing HTML skills...essentially, exactly the same interface available to edit the email templates.

  19. Kickstarter integration!

    It would be a dream to be able to fulfill Kickstarter orders more smoothly, perhaps by plugging Kickstarter directly into ShipStation as a store? Currently we export a CSV file from Kickstarter, sort and tidy up the file (such as add the Item Name and SKU, or make backer change requests), and import the orders to a ShipStation Manual Store that we create for each campaign. Another small pain in the process is the disappearance of special international characters when saving the corrected CSV file in Excel (we're looking into Libre Office to avoid this issue).

  20. Use Shipstation to manage SHIPPING MATERIALS!

    Today we use Shipstation's workflow engine to make shipping box/envelope decisions for us. As an example, if an order comes in that is below 13oz, it would go into a "custom 13oz box" and if it's between 14-16oz it goes into another, and on and on. This has become a fully baked solution for us, and it's working great.

    Where we stumble on this is that we have no place to manage our shipping MATERIALS. Not inventory, per se, but actually the count of the boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and such. Maybe it's not worth managing, but for us, if…
