  1. Return Label Generation Approvals by Shipper

    It would be nice to have the ability to require approval requests prior to generating a customer printed return label.

    For our business, shipping the product is rather expensive and we'd like the chance to correct the issue without a return before a returns the product un announced. By providing technical support and product education we're often able to correct the issue. without the chance to have that discussion we may end up spending more money on shipping than necessary.

  3. Return Shipping Cost Upfront to Customer on Label to Deduct from Order

    It would be nice if we could show the customers the return shipping label cost like amazon and just deduct it from the refund. That way they can still use a prepaid label that they are aware of exactly the amount it cost to ship back

  4. Adding a "size" field to the "return reason" dropdown

    Hello, we're a clothing company and we use the data for our returns to improve our size, fit, quality and size spread. It would be very helpful to add a "wrong size" field to the "return reason" dropdown, since this accounts for a huge percentage of our returns. Though ideally, it would be great if we could customize these fields since we could parse it out further to "too big" or "too small". Thanks for your consideration.

    Please allow to chose different file types when we download the return label. Currently only PDF and Amazon do not accept PDF file return label.

  8. There should be an option to arrange pick-ups for our customers for the return labels that are sent to them with the shipment.

    We use Shipstation with USPS and UPS. Just I just now got to know that you guys do not have any option to arrange pickups for the return labels for UPS. With a direct UPS account, I have that option.

  9. Return Process Improvements

    I was hoping to be able to use the Branded Returns Portal or at least the return feature from the individual orders, but there are a couple key features missing.


    1. When the customer initiates a return via the portal, they do not receive the returns email. Similar return portals allow the download of the return label from the returns portal, but also send an email with the label, return instructions and an explanation of what to expect.

  10. Amazon FBA returns manual input

    Have the ability to manually return any orders processed through Amazon FBA that automatically gets ported into shipstation

    an added bonus would be for shipstation to also adjust inventory from amazon

  12. Allow different Return label paper size that's sent to customers. We're receiving full-page 8.5x11" Return Labels on our Packages!

    Currently the Return Label sizes sent to customers cannot be changed to what our Printer Label settings are. Since we print thermal on 4x6", it automatically sends them to the customers at 4x6". We would have to change the printer settings for our Labels everytime we started a return.
    Since it's sending it in the 4x6" format, when they print on 8.5x11" (because most customers don't have thermal printers), it's expanding it to full page.   13. Create a different icon in Returns for items 'awaiting pick-up' for USPS. Currently they still show as 'in Transit' with a Truck.

    In the Returns section of ShipStation under the Tracking # column, when a return is on its way it turns to a Truck and displays 'In Transit' if hovered over. When products are unable to be delivered to a PO Box (or for any other reason) and are being held by the Post Office for pick-up, it still has a Truck and displays 'In Transit', when it's really no longer in transit and requires an action.

  16. Allow customers to create Return Labels without prior shipments

    We sell repair services online where we have our customers ship their items to us (via Return Label) and then we ship the items back to them after being repaired. It's a two-way shipping in reverse. We need to give our customers the ability to ship to us with Return Label, but your system only allows them to create Return Labels for orders that have already Shipped. Give customers the ability to ship items to vendors. This is greatly needed for online repair services and nobody supports.   17. Printing shipping labels + return labels, to have their own option, not the same as a shipping label.

    right now, shipping labels + return labels are the same option for size. however, this is inconvenient since in office w use 4x6, and return labels sent to customers, are best in 8x11 2 labels per page.

    To send return labels, need to change the setting, send the return label, then go back and change the setting back to 4x6.

  18. Return Classifications

    Currently, returns can be marked: Outstanding, Received, and Voided. This is insufficient. There needs to be one more classification - "Refunded".
    What we as business owners need is a way to separate returnS into three categories:
    Outstanding - those just submitted
    Received - those that have arrived and been inspected.
    Refunded - those that have been manully refunded.

  19. Third Party account on Return Labels

    We need to be able to use our Third Party account when automatically creating return labels. Currently, our third party account can only be used on outbound labels, but we are a rental business and we provide our customers with return labels. We need the ability to use the third party account. Creating a new custom label is burdensome.

  20. Track returns/inventory that is undeliverable and does not require a return label

    When items are returned to sender because they are undeliverable or unable to forward, there needs to be a way to indicate that the item was returned to inventory so that it can be tracked for inventory purposes and refunds.
