ShipStation’s Feedback and Fresh Ideas Forum is moving!


We have started the process of moving our ideas forum to a new home in the ShipStation Community.

As of August 4th, 2021, this Feedback and Fresh Ideas Forum is no longer accepting new ideas, votes, or comments. However, this forum will remain visible until shortly after the new Ideas board on the ShipStation Community goes live. After that date, this forum will no longer be visible.

If you would like to post an idea after August 4th but before the new Ideas board is live, we have created a temporary discussion board in the community for you to do so. Once our new Ideas board is live, our moderator will move all posts to their permanent home.

ShipStation has used this same forum since we released our very first version back in 2011. In that time, we’ve implemented hundreds of our users’ ideas! But, as our users and our product has evolved, we’ve realized the way we seek and manage our users’ feedback must evolve as well. Starting in September, all feedback and ideas discussions will take place in the Ideas board of the ShipStation Community

If you are not already a member of the ShipStation Community, please join! You can participate in user discussion boards, read exclusive community blog posts, earn rewards through community exclusive events, and much more. To join, go to community.shipstation.com and click the profile icon. You’ll be prompted to log in to your ShipStation account and then redirected back to the community where you can set your unique username and customize your profile (if you wish). Once registered, you can participate in any discussion on the community. 


What will happen to the existing Feedback and Fresh Ideas posts?


Unfortunately, we cannot move all ideas to the new Ideas forum. The posts we are not moving are being set to the  "Archived" status in this forum.


The posts we do move will maintain their statuses, voter count, comments, and link to the original poster. 

Posts we will move to the new Ideas board: 

  • All posts in Started, Planned, and In Consideration Queue statuses.
  • Some posts in the Under Review status or with no status, based on post age, recent activity, vote count, and relevance.
  • Posts that have been set to Completed within the last 12 months.

  1. Add UPS Simple Rate

    We are adding UPS's new shipping program called Simple Rate, we need this added to ShipStation.

  2. Add Speedee Delivery as a shipping option

    Please add Speedee Delivery as a shipping integration! All of our shipping is equally between UPS, Speedee, and USPS.

    Thanks for all your feedback and votes for this integration request. We are currently exploring a partnership and possible integration with SpeeDeeDelivery.

    This is still in the early stages, so at this time we do not know what the outcome will be. If we add this integration to the roadmap in the coming months, we will update this post to let you know.

  3. Royal Mail Tracking

    Could we get royal mail tracking within shipstation? As far as I am aware there is a RM tracking API which allows pulling this information without going to the RM tracking page. Royal mail also offers delivery tracking for the 24 and 48 service which does not require signature. It would be great to have tracking information for these parcels too or at least the parcel number populated in the tracking field. Currently we have to take this from the label manually.

  4. Add customs broker capability

    We sometimes have customers in Canada (when shipping through Fedex) who have their own brokers for customs clearance. It would be nice if we could add this information to their shipping information.

  5. Facebook Shop integration

    Facebook made some updates on their shop. Our company is starting to take this platform more serious. I wanted to know if shipstation can start working on a Facebook shop integration

  6. Please update current integrations with UPS, FedEx, and DHL to support SED/EEI filing

    Hi,
    We use ShipStation domestically only. ShipStation doesn't have the ability to ship international orders when the individual commodity's are worth more than $2500.00 without additional customs documents.
    When we signed up for ShipStation we were under the impression that everything was handled through ShipStation until we were contacted by the carriers seeking customs documents. Please add support for EEI filing through the carriers to fix this. For international shipments we have been forced to ship through the individual carriers, fixing this issue would bring a lot more business to ShipStation.

    There is a demand for this! Who has time…

  7. Improve Walmart Integration

    The walmart integration does not set values for email, customer ID, or payment method. While those fields are not necessary to ship the order, we pull all shipments out of shipstation via the API to import into our financial system of record (Netsuite).

    If no customer ID is provided by walmart, use the internal shipstation customer ID so it's not null.

    If no payment method is supplied by walmart, hardcode something like 'walmart'.

    Email address would be nice to ask walmart to provide. Ebay and Amazon provide it.

  8. Would love to see ShipStation support Mirakl marketplace platform!

    We would love to see ShipStation support Mirakl marketplace platform. We use this for two of our selling platforms and need to manually export/import orders. Seems like a huge platform that many large corporations use to connect small businesses with large ones.

  9. Bulk resubmission tool for throttled/failed Amazon submissions

    It would be great to have the ability to bulk resubmit vailed notifications to Amazon Market Place through ShipStation at the end of the day. Our workflow doesn’t allow us to use batching for our orders and we are left with 1,000s of daily orders throttled with failed notifications. Currently we are contacting ShipStation nightly to bulk resubmit the orders otherwise we would need to manually update Amazon accounts one at a time.

    Having an auto feed that could bulk resubmit these failed orders at the end of the day would be a valuable time saver for all parties.

  10. Only Import Unfulfilled Items

    Currently all items are brought into ShipStation regardless of whether or not they are already fulfilled on Shopify. We often issue refunds immediately following a customer purchase due to customer error, at which point we mark the item as fulfilled in Shopify to prevent us from shipping product that has been refunded.

    ShipStation shows all items on an order regardless of if they are fulfilled on Shopify or not, and prints them all on the packing slip. Even 'Syncing' after order changes does not correct this. I have to imagine others must be facing this issue and running the risk…

  11. let US based company create AU or EU labels

    My company is US based and recently opened distribution centers in Europe and Australia.
    I can add more of my storage places in Australia but cannot connect to "Australia Post" , same goes to Europe.
    would have like to be able to create Australian labels from my Australian storage unit to customers same as for Europe.
