ShipStation’s Feedback and Fresh Ideas Forum is moving!


We have started the process of moving our ideas forum to a new home in the ShipStation Community.

As of August 4th, 2021, this Feedback and Fresh Ideas Forum is no longer accepting new ideas, votes, or comments. However, this forum will remain visible until shortly after the new Ideas board on the ShipStation Community goes live. After that date, this forum will no longer be visible.

If you would like to post an idea after August 4th but before the new Ideas board is live, we have created a temporary discussion board in the community for you to do so. Once our new Ideas board is live, our moderator will move all posts to their permanent home.

ShipStation has used this same forum since we released our very first version back in 2011. In that time, we’ve implemented hundreds of our users’ ideas! But, as our users and our product has evolved, we’ve realized the way we seek and manage our users’ feedback must evolve as well. Starting in September, all feedback and ideas discussions will take place in the Ideas board of the ShipStation Community

If you are not already a member of the ShipStation Community, please join! You can participate in user discussion boards, read exclusive community blog posts, earn rewards through community exclusive events, and much more. To join, go to community.shipstation.com and click the profile icon. You’ll be prompted to log in to your ShipStation account and then redirected back to the community where you can set your unique username and customize your profile (if you wish). Once registered, you can participate in any discussion on the community. 


What will happen to the existing Feedback and Fresh Ideas posts?


Unfortunately, we cannot move all ideas to the new Ideas forum. The posts we are not moving are being set to the  "Archived" status in this forum.


The posts we do move will maintain their statuses, voter count, comments, and link to the original poster. 

Posts we will move to the new Ideas board: 

  • All posts in Started, Planned, and In Consideration Queue statuses.
  • Some posts in the Under Review status or with no status, based on post age, recent activity, vote count, and relevance.
  • Posts that have been set to Completed within the last 12 months.

  1. Etsy gift wrap/gift message integration

    Etsy is getting ready to integrate gift wrapping and gift messages into their sales platform. I'm hoping there will be an alert for each order containing this information within ShipStation once it goes into effect. Gift messages are going to be made available to all orders at no charge, so every Etsy seller will have to deal with them whether they want to or not, and I am concerned I'll get a gift message request and not know about it.

    Ideally, I would also like to see a way to print ONLY gift message packing slips and not every packing…

    As of March 12, 2021, ShipStation will now import the is_gift flag and the gift_message field from Etsy. If a gift message is present on the order, it will appear in the Gift Message field for the order in ShipStation.

  2. Add Google Express / Google Shopping Actions Integration

    It would be nice to have Google Express / Shopping Actions integrated into Shipstation. I would like to see this happen anytime before the end of the year.

    Please allow integration for Walmart Canada selling channel. I have Walmart USA set up but I need integration for Walmart Canada.

  4. Ebay Delivery Guarantee

    Ebay has introduced a new "Delivery Guarantee" that offers us the ability to guarantee delivery time OR handling time for packages.

    If we choose the Guaranteed Handling Time option, Ebay will guarantee the delivery, and if it's late, they'll refund the customer the shipping. The only catch is they are (so far) going to require we use Ebay labels to print postage for packages, which is time consuming versus using ShipStation. Could your API developers please reach out to Ebay and see if we could get ShipStation as a "qualified provider" so we can keep using SS and still be…

  5. Laser Ship carrier integration

    I would like a new carrier for the Southeast regional. I've heard Laser Ship is great but I'm open to anyone with great rates that's doing same day & next day shipping.

  6. Auto-Schedule FedEx Pickup

    It would be really nice if, when you ship using FedEx, you could have an option to automatically schedule a FedEx pickup without having to go to their website separately and request a pickup.

  7. Revert tracking link back to USPS tracking, NOT Stamps.com

    No idea why Shipstation thought that changing our tracking links from a direct link to USPS tracking to a third party (Stamps.com) tracking link was an "upgrade". It's a downgrade, and now a separate step to copy the tracking number and open a new window for USPS tracking in order to see more complete information. The Stamps.com tracking is not useful. We should have either USPS tracking or the option to toggle between either.

    Thank you all for your feedback and all of your votes. We have taken note of your feedback and we have reverted this change. We now have gone back to using USPS tracking pages.

  8. Royal Mail Customs Declarations

    The Royal Mail integration is generally well done but we're still having to manually write custom declaration labels for non-EU shipments.

    Having moved from a cheaper shipping platform that offered automated labels (exactly like UPS) this is a step backward.

    Can we please have declaration labels for Royal Mail. The digital declaration is going to be required very soon by RM I believe so ShipStation may not be compliant.

    Add Support for Magento 2.4.x
    After Magento upgrade from 2.3.5 -> 2.4.0 ShipStation is dead! We cannot sync or upload or download any orders, or any other functions. Please add Support for Magento 2.4.x
    This is truly frustrating to see how ShipStation being slow on upgrades to latest version of the sales channels. Magento maybe complicated I agree, but for us it is very important as it is the best shopping cart for business with over 100,000 SKUs, processing over 1,000 Orders a Day, and having a Multistory / MultiChannel / OmniChannel capabilities.

  12. New Carrier: Startrack

    We would like to see more Carriers added to ShipStation. We like Australia Post, but would love to see Startrack as a new Carrier, which belongs to Australia Post.

    Startrack offers excellent services such as Fixed Price Premium, which is a very price competitive B2C overnight/Express service, as well as Road Express, which helps with B2B.

    Australia Post does offer Express Service, but it is rather expensive and not "Fixed Price".

  14. Schedule Pickup with FedEx & DHL

    Need a way to schedule a pickup when booking with Fedex/DHL etc. We don't necessarily have a pickup scheduled every day, for all carriers. The whole point of this interface is to reduce time inputting & executing orders. If we have to go login to Fedex or DHL every time we need to book a pickup it loses its effectiveness.

  16. Provide realtime carrier rates to BigCommerce Checkout

    Hi,
    It would be highly profitable for ShipStation if you where to implement this feature:
    1. Collaborate with BigCommerce to enable bigcommerce to request real-time shipping rates from ShipStation (who would request it from the users configured carriers)
    2. After ShipStation provides the realtime rates back to bigcommerce, have bigcommerce display these rates in the shopping cart "Estimate Shipping" and during the Checkout process.

    This will really make ShipStation stand out as an attractive option for bigcommerce users looking for better shipping management.

  17. Purolator label messages

    Hi!

    Would it be possible to add label messages to Purolator labels?

    For example, our fulfillment partner asks for us to print the item SKU on the Puro label.

    We urgently require more Australian Couriers. We need TNT, Couriers Please and Fastway!

  19. Integration with SalesForce

    As I am sure that many of us use SalesForce for our CRM, it would be great if ShipStation would take all of our customer transaction data and put it into our SalesForce ORG and enable us to ship directly through SalesForce. Sending return labels through SalesForce would also be awesome!

  20. Have "Notify Market Place" checkbox defaulted.

    We have to check the box for "Notify Market Place" for every single shipment. If a user forgets, the marketplace doesn't get updated and we have orders sitiing in our website listed as processing.

    Seeing as to how having that box unchecked would be the rarity, and having it checked would be the majority, I feel this should be default checked with the option to uncheck if necessary.
