As a bio ethanol fireplace seller, we often need to mark FedEx fuel shipments as "ORM-D". Would love to see support for this.
As a bio ethanol fireplace seller, we often need to mark FedEx fuel shipments as "ORM-D". Would love to see support for this, even though I doubt there's a lot of folks who need it. For us it means having to create a manual label via FedEx which on it's own wouldn't be terrible if orders only contained fuel, but when orders contain multiple items and only one shipment box is fuel, it gets cumbersome. Hi, everyone! Here’s an update:
We recently added the ability for you to mark your FirstMile DHL Global Mail shipments as “Dangerous Goods” under “Other Shipping Options” where you’ll be able to select “ORM-D” or other types of goods.
If you’d like for us to add it for any other carriers, please let us hear you in the comments section of this forum! Another piece of information that will help is how often you’re shipping these goods.
Hey everyone, can we get an update on Fedex Hazmat?

I see by the requests below that people have been asking to add ORM-D to Fed Ex ground for some time now without Ship Station adding. Is this something they are going to add in the near future as i need this as a option
Hey guys, there's a UPS thread that is a bit similar here, so I wanted to cross post as the two threads aren't merged. We would really like to see FEDEX integration, as they look to have the easiest to use API through their DG Ready program. Would probably be the fastest to integrate with if you decide to jump.
Fedex has a great API running strong, and you can see companies that are currently using them here: http://www.fedex.com/us/hazardous-materials/dgready.html
Looks like a decent system, and it would be a phenomenal upgrade to Shipstation. I'm sure the guys at Fedex would love to have you on board.
Hey guys, we'd really like to see this in Fedex, and they've recently released the DG Ready API to the wild, so it would really be a great place to pick this up quickly. They have two versions, a full integration and what is basically a "light" variation. Really worth looking into though, as this is a game changer for us who ship hazmat. Current competitors of yours offering this are: Labelmaster, EZ Ship, ShipEasy Platinum.
Hope we see it!
We could really use this as well, but instead of ORM-D, we use the DOT LQE shipment (pretty **** close, we just stick another sticker on it)
Really, this post could be combined with the Hazmat post, because they're the same (or at least similar) issues. It would get us all more votes in one place :-)
Is there any word on when we will see FedEx ORM-D Shipping? We ship 50 to 75 Packages a day out that need ORM-D And it would be nice to have the option in ship station.
Please enable these options (ORM-D & Limited Quantity) for FedEx, UPS, & USPS if possible. One of the products we ship is fragrance (which is considered a hazardous material). We have approximately 25 shipments a week containing fragrance. Having this feature on ShipStation would GREATLY improve the efficiency of our shipping operations.
We need the option to set the special handling of Hazardous Materials (ORM-D/Limited Quantities) for USPS/Stamps.com. We would also like this option for FedEx as well. UPS does not require it.

Currently we ship small gift packets in bubble mailers. The packets include a pen, bottle openers, and among other items, a matchbook that is wrapped tightly in brown paper and folded into the plastic bag that holds the other items, to limit movement of contents while in transit.
We print and attach a label and on the envelope we just handwrite:
"Surface Mail Only/Matchbook/ORM-D" (which designates that a hazardous item is contained inside in limited quantities).

We have matchbooks (also known as safety matches) that we intend on mailing to our customers as swag. But there are some restrictions on how to ship such items.
For instance, the parcel containing matchbooks must have “Book Matches”, “Card matches,” or “Strike-on-Box Matches,” marked on the outside of the parcel as applicable in permanent markings. There also is an ORM-D marking that can be used in other situations.
It would be nice to have some way to place these kinds of statements and markings right on the shipping label generated by SS.
ps: see: http://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52apxc_015.htm for details on shipping matchbooks.

Option for ORM-D marking for ground shipments. We ship consumer comodity products that are hazardous and require this option to be marked when processing shipments via DHLS eCommerce via Endicia.

With Fedex Ground if you ship a limited quantity Dangerous Good, the label needs to read NO AIR so they do not put the Ground shipment on an aircraft if they have space.
It's a very simple checkbox in Ship Manager called ORM-D that will print NO AIR on the Fedex Ground label. It should be something quite simple to do in ShipStation to allow this very common sort of shipping.
