Make use of UPS's smart pick up feature. UPS knows to pick up a package that ready for pickup without having to have a daily pick up.

I want to process all of our shipments using Shipstation instead of Worldship for UPS and Shipstation for USPS. We need to see SS add Smart Pickup. This is the only problem I have ever had with Shipstation and frankly I'm shocked this is not integrated.
Just throwing my vote in for this one. We don't necessarily have UPS outgoing daily, but I switched to a daily pickup because there was apparently no way to trigger the 'smart pickup' with shipstation. I don't know why this even has to be a Shipstation problem; I'm sure it's not this simplistic on the back end, but (I've told my UPS rep this) Smart Pickup needs an option where a pickup is scheduled when labels are generated with *ANY* third-party tool. Most people using smart pickup are probably only shipping from one location anyway.
Yes, please add Smart Pickup to SS. It would be great to not have to schedule a pickup when we ship with UPS. We recently switched from Worldship and this is the main thing we'd like to see happen in SS.
Hi! At this time, Smart Pickup is an option that has not yet been made available to ShipStation as a third party integration. However, continue providing your support and feedback for this idea, so we can get the ball rolling as much as possible.

This shouldn't even be a question. If you want to be the best, most hassle-free shipping solution then integrate this simple feature. It's seriously the only hiccup in your system. If you're ok with second best then carry on.
Integrating UPS Smart Pickup seems like a great way to keep existing customers from generating UPS labels outside of ShipStation.
Why is it not implemented now? ShipStaion doesn't want to do it or because UPS won't allow it?
Thanks for checking in on this one. We’re still interested in this idea - at this time it is not on our immediate roadmap but it’s one we’d like to keep an eye on for now.

Thinking about switching from FedEx to UPS and the Smart Pickup is really attractive. However, if it doesn't work with ShipStation, that is a bummer. Any plans to set this up?

Been using ShipStation for a few weeks now. Today is the first day I found out that UPS Smart pick up doesn't work with ShipStation. I guess up until today I have had incoming packages every day. Now I have today's packages sitting here unshipped. Not shipping Nirvana. Can you make it work?

Streamlining and workflow efficiency are heavily advertised by SS, which makes the absence of this feature all the more maddening.
How about a win-win-win for SS, UPS, and your customers? Add the feature pronto.

We recently switched from UPS WorldShip to ShipStation. SS saves us a ton of time, but the major feature we're missing is UPS Smart Pickup. We've been told by our UPS account manager that "your Shipping API can be coded to integrate with UPS to recognize your account as a Smart Pickup and trigger a pickup request once a package is processed."
This feature would save us from the risk of not scheduling a pickup manually, as we're having to do right now.

Please add UPS SmartPickup via ShipStation. It is already exposed via their API, this shouldn't be a big deal. Even if you do it as an independent button as opposed to being triggered off of printing a label it would be better.

We would like this feature also. We package our UPS early in the day and and to simply inform them via shipstation to pickup rather than waiting around for a scheduled pickup. I'm sure UPS does not want to waste their drivers time coming to see if there are any packages every day. This is a must.

Admin, have you asked UPS to expose SmartPickup functionality to ShipStation? From the sound of your post it sounds as if you're passively waiting for UPS to do that instead of aggressively requesting that they expost SmartPickup thru the API. Please provide more color...

Can this feature now be integrated in ShipStation? Also, I've read elsewhere that generating a UPS WorldShip End of Day form will trigger a Smart Pickup.

Customers use UPS SmartPickup instead of daily pickup to have UPS send driver only when have packages. It's cheaper than Daily Pickup.
If using Worldship as soon as you process the first package the software send message to UPS to activate Day's smartpickup. Otherwise have to log in to ups.com and manually schedule the smartpickup
Please integrate this within SS so that as soon as an UPS shipments are performed, UPS is notified to activate the day's smartpickup.
Please add Smart Pickup as a feature with UPS's API. We ship so many packages with UPS.. we really need to be able to automatically call UPS for the pick up. Thank you!

PLEASE add this feature, Smart Pickup is perfect for my business but navigating through UPS to do so is time consuming! You would think UPS would want this because honestly we would send more through UPS if it was integrated and easy to use.

Using smart pick up makes more sense for our business, as we ship multiple packages out each week, however we don't necessarily have packages every day. Scheduling the packages through UPS to be picked up is our only option at the moment, so if ship station could also find a way to utilize smart pick up, we would be able to schedule all our packages through them, as opposed to only a few per week. Ideally, we will eventually only use ship station to schedule every order we have, but without the smart pick up feature, it's just not possible.
