Shipping Templates Not Applying Properly
Shipping Templates Not Applying Properly
I'm our company's software engineer. The problem I'm having as an engineer is that the code editor for designing the packing slips does not support all functionalities for HTML and CSS and no support for javascript. What I'm trying to do is to always have to footer at the bottom of the packing slip. Because the footer uses the CSS functionality of "display: absolute" This causes orders with a bunch of line items to overlap the footer. ShipStation's documentation nicely points out the reason for this limitation, and also points to a solution. That solution states to create multiple packing slip templates and use your automation rules to apply those packing slips to the orders. So basically I made multiple shipping label templates that if an order has so many line items, use our 2 page template, or our 3 page template and so on. ShipStation applies the correct template to the correct order EXCEPT when you are printing in batches, it will only use whatever the default template is and our company has to go back and manually print all orders with different shipping label templates. This is a huge issue for us as it slows down fulfillment drastically. Especially as we are trying to scale as a company and add more items to our store. This could be a game breaker for us moving forward or anyone else with the same issue. I hope this gains visibility and the issue is fixed.
