Crazy! It's almost 2020 and SS still can't get it together when it comes to customs forms and currency. All I need is for there to be an option to mark/change the currency on the customs form so that the information provided is accurate. I've been using a different software for all formal entry shipments because of this. SS might be big and require QA for updates but this issue could easily be resolved at least for commercial invoice purposes.
Been waiting too long for this, hoping SS will add this feature soon or another platform will match SS ease of use and offer it. -

Hi,
You guys really need to add this.
For my tax it's really hard to know the exact currency and i'm wasting time etc..
I'm selling in CAD and USD.
Hope this will be added soon because i'm really thinking about moving to an other software..
Thanks

ShipStation, due to the lack of solution for multiple currencies I am cancelling my SS subscription... well done!

Please add automation rules to enable users to specify the currency by store so that the correct currency code is displayed on the commercial invoice.

Getting messed up reporting due to this issue. Would love to just disable a store to even be in the insights/reporting to avoid this issue. 8,000 MX is 450 USD. This makes our insights unusable.

This is one of the reasons we are leaving Shipstation. They take forever to add any functionality. The fact that they don't know ecommerce is global today means they are 10 years behind.

Hi
I understand there are many variables and situations to consider but no progress or beta for 5 + years?
All users should be leaving comments to get Multiple Customs Currencies implemented.Would this work
All marketplaces should be specifying the currency that was paid.
Use this to set the currency "indicator" on only the customs declaration which should be an easy to implement solution. The currency passed to the Customs form would be in the currency the buyer paid.
Would this not cover having several marketplaces that perhaps report each in different currencies as well as a Marketplace the reports in more than 1 currency
The quoted rates returned by the carriers with in the ShipStation label remain in the currency that the user is billed in
Hope to see progress soon

Suggestion for ShipStation: The currency needs to be defined by Store.
The internet is a global marketplace, with most sellers selling in multiple currencies (which is usually defined by the store / marketplace), so to ensure that ShipStation is using correct values for Customs and reporting, we (a significant proportion of your customers) URGENTLY need the currency to be defined by store and the value converted into the merchants local currency.

I can't believe this still has not been fixed. This is a bug and it's costing us hundreds of dollars a month plus furious customers who get fronted with customs bills because your declarations are inaccurate.

Support really needs to move on with this, surely it's not that hard to understand!

Hi, this is a feature that our company desperately needs. We are eager for Shipstation to implement this. This is costing us money (issue with customs at the amounts are incorrect due to the incorrect currency)

How has this not been fixed yet?!?! Your international orders are broken because your commercial invoices don't pull the currency from the store. A simple drop down menu that fixes the units manually would be fine as an interim until it is fully automated. Seriously this thread is years old. Do something!

Yes,I agree. Many smaller sellers that expand their business to international websites (ebay.uk, etc) are having this issue. causing alot of headaches for customs, as well as reporting conflicts for amount received vs amount spent on shipping. Its impossible to tell that you were paid in GBP on paypal, yet on Shipstation, its shows you were paid in USD. Ouch! Huge patch needs to fix this ASAP

SS...after reading through this thread of responses i get the feeling that SS simply doesn't care or doesn't understand the impact of such a huge oversight. You can't offer cross border solutions to non-US shippers without currency options for commercial invoices. PLEASE RESPOND AND GET TO WORK!

When it comes to commerical invoices ShipStation should really step up to the plate here. From reading everything below i see that i am not alone when i say SS is forcing an inaccurate customs declaration. We should be able to default the currency on our account and per store. We should also be able to change the currency on each shipment. I am only referring to the creation of commercial invoices and not further integration options like accounting or ERPs. Commercial invoices are a crucial part of daily shipping and i think this issue is overlooked as many US sellers may not suffer the same or nearly as often an issue as International account holders who export from their country.
It is much more common for a US seller to export in their native currency than a Canadian, Mexican or other region seller especially when exporting to other countries (primarily but not limited to the US). The oversight seems almost selfish in my opinion and the work for SS to do should be simply (relatively speaking for such a vast web program). -

ShipStation is STILL trying to understand the best way to address multiple currencies! This makes them look Mickey Mouse and needs sorting ASAP.
This should be ShipStation's TOP priority...
