Add a duplicate order feature
Currently during an exchange, we reship the original order and then have to change the packing slip by hand writing the changes. While we could create manual orders for each of these, right now customer information does not automatically fill in all of the time when creating an order. When this happens we can go to the customers tab and then search for the customer and then create an order from there, but this seems like an extra step. It would be convenience to have a "duplicate order" button that would create a new order to the same recipient directly from the orders or shipments tab.
Hi, everyone! Thanks for showing your support here! Can you tell us more about what you would use this feature for?
From the previous comments it looks like some users are looking to use this for exchanges or more accurate accounting. Do you all agree?
What do you think about our re-ship feature? Every time you re-ship an order, we will show you all the tracking numbers related to that order and its status. You’re able to change the order details for each label you re-ship.
More info on re-ship (not to be confused with re-print): https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/206638607
Please let us hear your comments in the forum and add your ideas with other users so we can get the full picture!

Is this here yet? this would be REALLY obviously helpful for those of us making the same shipment every month -- If the "Import Orders" function would actually save the settings (instead of forgetting them every time) that would be one step closer - as it is I'm doing the 'field mapping' for the CSV on all however many 10 fields or so EVERY TIME. This is the thing that makes me dread the shipping process. Same old addresses, same old weights, same old same old everything.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Can't I just press a button and get a copy? or is there something i'm missing somewhere to make this easier? - The 'Saved Mappings' on import orders DO NOT save on my system - but of course I'd rather just have the "Repeat/copy" Order function would make life that much easier....

I used to use ShipRush's duplicate order button A LOT and it was my favorite feature. When my company switched to Ship Station without this feature it is pretty disappointing. I will now have to create a manual order every time which is time consuming and leaves room for error. I would use it for: packages lost in the mail, when things were sent wrong, when labels were lost or ripped off the printer, when I had to change an address, shipping warranty or free promotional items. I hope shipstation is able to make a change soon!

I periodically send a case of something to Amazon FBA, for example. Each product always by the same number, in the same size box, and usually to the same FBA warehouse. For now, I open up a duplicate tab to open up a past order, and copy over information to a new manual order, because its the same information but new shipment, new day, same size but physically new box. a repeat shipment. repeat. not a re-ship to fix something. just a repeat of the same thing. a repeated shipment or order could then be manually altered as needed to fit the new shipment or order. I say again, "repeat".

I also think it's a bit ridiculous that this isn't a feature already, especially after so many votes.
This is ok for printing new labels but it does not take inventory into consideration. It does not allow you to add or delete lines and keep a history of activity. Not a solution for me.

I've got to send out sample packs to all my reps but have to manually re-create each order (with 6 of the same items). If I had a "copy order button" it'd save me a ton of time.

I would like to resend an order that was already sent because the customer received the wrong item. So just "OTHER ACTIONS, DUPLICATE ORDER"
How about zyinc of inventory? just kiddin'
Your suggested workaround system doesn't work for me at all. I have to actually re-enter a new order if I want my production team to make it and ship it for me. Otherwise they won't know I need the new order. I can't just tell them to remember what I need done then re-print the shipping label at the end. How hard is it to add a "duplicate order" button? You have buttons for split order and other things I've never used. I can't even believe this is under debate. It is clearly an issue for many of your customers.
Thanks for checking for updates here. We’re still interested in duplicating orders and we don’t have a timeline on it. It isn’t on our immediate roadmap but it’s one we’d like to keep open for now.

There are many use cases; here's one: Customer orders two identical items, but was only shipped.
After 5 1/2 years of feedback, 118 votes, and 52 comments, what else do you need from us to ********* the product roadmap?
I would love for this feature. Especially if you can duplicate an order and then send it to a different location which we get orders for this type of thing to each of the people's different stores.

We have customers who order the same exact products for multiple store locations. It is time consuming to reenter the same order of 20 different products ten times in a row.
Duplicating orders would be nice for manual orders that have many line items (100+ products) and are shipped to multiple different customers but the products on the order are exactly the same. We have this situation often with our wholesale customers.
Yes we have a very specific functional use for this feature which is to create a REPLACEMENT order for buyers who received a wrong or damaged item. This is something that most sellers will have to deal with sometimes & cloning or duplicating the order allows for doing that very efficiently we also leave one of the three custom fields in our FedEx label to State Replacement so that the label itself would indicate that it is a replacement for an order.
We are almost ready to start using Shipstation after setting up our products & automation rules I would like to add our support for this feature and I was looking for a duplication feature for our customer service operator to use for Replacements.
I sometimes have to enter in manual orders with 100+ products ordered and the customer will order it again. That's what I would use a "duplicate order" feature for. When a customer literally orders the exact same thing multiple times it would save a lot of time.

We would love to have this feature as well. Sometimes a carrier loses a shipment and we want to quickly ship another one out before the 1st one has been returned.
This would be incredibly valuable to us as we send out many sample orders to potential accounts, which are the same every day, and have over a dozen items to send
This would be a great time-saver for processes such as these.
Alternatively, a template would be an even better solution.

Hi, we have an automatic refill orders, and it would be great to just duplicate the exact order instead of re-entering the info. Save on possible human errors,

I want to reship to the same address, but change the products on the order, the weight of the shipment, and change the order number or add a +1 on the order. On my previous program it was called "clone order". It simply copies the whole order and you can fully edit it. Saves a lot of time.
Lost shipments require reshipment. A "duplicate" order would allow us to create a brand new order record to reship asap.
