Scan and Verify Product UPC to make sure to Ship right product and Quantity
Ability to Scan and Verify the UPC code of the product get shipped for the individual order. So, this will eliminate the WRONG item being shipped and Wrong Quantity being shipped. Also "Ship Order" button activates only when the right product(s) is scanned and right quantity is scanned for the order.Products that does not come with UPC may be shipped by manually entering item SKU in the barcode scan field.
The first phase of our Scan to Verify feature is complete and includes the ability to scan either SKU or UPC barcodes.
We’ll continue to improve our Scan functionality in the near future!

We currently use groovepacker for this as well. However would LOVE shipstation to have this ability to replace groovepacker. This could be a nice upgraded plan or add-on we would even be willing to pay for.
This feature would make it easier on staff not having to login to two separate platforms and also haveing to learn and navigate through both platforms. It would also as the other poster suggested virtually eliminate fulfilment errors.

This feature would be a huge benefit to our operation - it's incredibly difficult to scale without logically integrated UPC scanning.
The number one problem we have is either the wrong item, quantity or missed items during the pick process. Accounts for too many errors and associated cost. Have looked at other offering the feature, but do not want to go away from ShipStation. Those that integrate with ShipStation are unreasonably high price for us in that we dont need all the other features they offer.

A unique UPC or QR code can be printed on each shipping label. The contents of each shipment will contain a UPC / barcode.
The items of each shipment, then the UPC code on the shipping label will need be scanned.
Once scanned, the scanner will either give a verification that the items are correct, or an error message if the items are incorrect (wrong item, wrong quantity, or both).
If the items are incorrect, the scanner will not be able to move onto the next order until the incorrect order is fixed.
A column inside of ship station should also show if the items of the shipment have been scan and verified to contain the correct quantity and product.
Hi @MrFent37, thank you for checking in. This idea is still on our radar and we're still interested in pursuing a way to help you verify your shipments. Currently, we don't have a timeline but will reach out to the active folks here in the product feedback forum when we have questions.

Where are we on the development of this? I am getting ready to bail on you guys if you cannot reply.
Another year almost over, coming up on 6 years since this TOP VOTED FOR feature was requested. Come on Shipstation, at least tell us you have no plans on ever doing this, if that be the case.

A must have. We have started with Groove Packer also simply because ShipStation doesn't offer a scan and verify.
previous system that I use would require me to scan invoice to print than scan the product again to make sure it's the correct item, this is very helpful

As our number of orders per day grows this becomes more critical to our business. Does anyone know of a third party that integrates with ShipStation that can provide this capability?

Yes, this would benefit many of us. My shipping staff occasionally will send out the wrong item. If we could have Shipstation automatically select the oldest open order with the scanned UPC that would decrease our shipping time significantly and decrease wrong item's being sent drastically. The less human error we put into the equation the greater the experience for all involved. We would just need to upload all of our product UPC's, or better yet have Shipstation pull that data from Channel Advisor (or other inventory management solutions) when the orders import. We were using shipping easy for awhile, but we switched to ShipStation for the extra features and overall ease of use. We would love to help make ShipStation more robust and it will help many sellers. Thanks!

Having this feature is extremely important to all of us who have commented. Some of us are using yet another software to help fulfill this need; we are using GroovePacker which means we have one more software license to pay for. ShipStation could drastically improve their product by adding this feature, and it would save money for many of us.

This would make shipstation perfect in my opinion. Employee mistakes are my number one bad mark in the ecommerce world.

I am sure someone has already said this but SKUVault is the best solution for this part of one's e-commerce operations. They do a ton more than this but it is one of the best time saving features of their platform. I am not paid by or an employee of SKUVault.
Yes yes yes! Love this! I'm looking for third party software to do this for me but I would LOVE to stick to ShipStation for as much as possible.
I agree this would be huge feature for shipstation. We sell 25,000 different SKUS so there is alot of items our shippers never see before. Verification is very important.
1) Scan packing slip
2) Scan Barcode
3) Will give you a green light if barcode matches order, red for fail. Won't let you ship unless green.

I really need the ability to scan UPCs while packing an order so that my team can avoid errors. We already use ShipStation for picklists, so we'd like to scan while picking and packing in ShipStation also. Then a feature could be toggled on an off not allowing a shipment to get shipped until it's been scanned and completely packed.

Why is this not completed? It was planned and is back to under review.

Please. Just, please.... This feature would allow us to continue to use Shipstation. We need the ability to scan items as we pack to increase accuracy. Have been waiting for this and will eventually need to find another solution as we continue to grow due to the importance of this feature.
Thanks for listening.
