Amazon Buy Shipping API Needs to Update Tracking and cost to both Amazon and CRM
Looks like another idea for this was posted, but it is closed for voting--don't know why.
As a Shopify Plus merchant, we need to have a robust inventory/order management system for features such as CRM and supply chain management. As such, not only do our Shopify Plus orders display in a system, such as Stitch Labs or NetSuite, but our Amazon seller fulfilled orders do as well. This allows us to see sales velocity and dynamically replenish products to avoid stock outs.
Currently, if we ship an Amazon order out using the Amazon connection in Shipstation (A REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN SELLER FULFILLED PRIME), only Amazon is updated with tracking. I understand that Shipstation does not support additional connections from within that Amazon connection. What ShipStation needs to do; however, is write a script that recognizes identical orders that are present in both the Amazon connection and the CRM connection. Then, when the order ships out of the Amazon connection, the script runs to push the tracking and cost to the CRM.
How soon can you do this? We may as well use another service if this is not even on the calendar.
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for taking the time to bring this up and for adding your comments on what you’re doing today. At this time, some shipping carriers prohibit rate comparisons. We’ll let you know if we have more updates in the future here.
For now, we’ll return your votes so you can use it on other more active ideas. The input you gave is still on our radar and your insights are greatly appreciated.
