Automation Rule for Label Messages
For our wholesale customers, they require a PO number to be included on the shipping label.
We capture the PO in the "Notes from Buyer" field.
It'd be helpful if one could use an Automation Rule to selectively decide which "Notes from Buyer" fields should be added to the message field at the bottom of the label e.g. if "Notes from Buyer" contains "PO:" then add "Notes from Buyer" to "Message 1".
While we use the "Notes from Buyer" field currently, this may change in the future, and having the flexibility to build Automation Rules to drive what gets inserted into the Label Messages would be helpful
As an example, this is a related suggestion e.g. http://feedback.shipstation.com/forums/330429-product-feedback-fresh-ideas/suggestions/3810236-add-buyer-name-to-the-shipping-label-message.

YFinder, that suggestion does not work, as variables such as [Notes from Buyer] don't seem to be supported. Very easy to validate by trying this yourself.
Ideally, it'd be great if any variable could be used in an Automation Rule, as one would have a lot more flexibility.
I don't know if this will work as it's sketchy where replacement fields can be used. Maybe though you can use [Notes from Buyer] like below. I also included options for variations on "PO" in the notes field.
Apply to every order that match specific criteria:
Notes from Buyer contains PO;P.O;Po;po (use semicolons for multiple options, no need for quotes)
Add Tag (if desired) to visually notify
Set Custom Field 1.. [Notes from Buyer]
Then in Printing setup, set Message 1 = [Custom Field #1]
I've no idea if this will work but it MIGHT be a workaround. It's all going to depend on if the Replacement field [Notes from Buyer] can be used in the rule or not.
