international return labels
The ability for Shipstaion to process international return labels. I know that you can not create an international return label in ShipStation because the ship from location has to be in the same country as your ShipStation account. We have to use a different service specifically for international return labels, making it extremely inconvenient and adds an unneeded expense on our part having to use two different services.
Hi everyone! Thanks for your comments here on international return labels. Can you tell us more about how you handle international returns? For example, if they follow the same return policy as your domestic returns or if there are more restrictions since international shipping requires additional documentation?
Having international returns would save our company a lot of time. We currently have to create each return manually through the FedEx website. We manually create 8-12 returns/week. That would easily save us 1 to 2 hours of work per week. Not only would it save time, but it would be much easier to keep all the return information about orders on Shipstation.
Maybe it would be possible to start with US/Canada orders? When an international order would be requested, Shipstation could ask for missing information like "return reason" or "return value". I don't think there would be much more as the original shipment information would already be available. National returns seem to work pretty well - keep the same formula!
We would greatly appreciate adding international returns. Currently, we ship to Canada with FedEx ETD printed on our labels, but we have no way to add this feature to our returns. Looks like I will have to manually create return labels with commercial invoices until this feature is added..

Would really love to have international shipping supported through ShipStation. ShipStation has been amazing and met every need of our company except this! Really love the ways you've helped our company ship efficiently, this is just the one frustrating thing and it would be so helpful to have this figured out. Right now, we're having to have our customers pay for shipping to exchange something, and then refunding them the initial shipping that they paid for to compensate them back. Really inconvenient for us and for our customers, as it is a hassle and annoying to make them do so much work after already paying for our product.

What seems to be the problem at your end to add this functionality? Is it about a commercial invoice for return? you can leave a field for us to manually upload the commercial invoice
Hi @R G thanks for checking in on this idea. We're still interested in offering international returns to our users and have prioritized other projects ahead of this one. We still want to keep this idea open, however, for other users to voice their thoughts on it and to be able to vote on it. We will let you know here when we have more updates.

This request was initially made in November 2015 (Hyperdrive Operations Manager shared this idea · Nov 4, 2015) if not EVEN before.
This is 2018!
Could we have news about this missing option or at least an explanation about why it can not be offered at the moment?
Thanks for any useful answer.
This is a major problem

We handle international returns the same way as domestic returns from our UK warehouse. We can create a returns label in UPS.com/ CampusShip. It's difficult to understand why the same returns process can't be integrated into Shipstation?

We are able to ship internationally using ShipStation and our UPS account, and are also able to directly create international returns on our UPS account via their website directly. If we can do that, i do not see why we would not be able to do it on ShipStation. The return policy is the same, duties and taxes are charged to our account and no additional documentation is ever required past what ShipStation can already generate, such as a customs declaration.
Amazon.CA seems to think you have t have a Canada address or be able to create prepaid returns label so this is a must.
Definitely can't say enough how much I would love to see this become a feature in Shipstation. As many other users have noted, being forced to use an external returns process for international orders is inconvenient and inefficient, and leaves much more room for error.
Having this feature built in and able to be used in a similar way to the current domestic returns option would be incredibly helpful.

International returns dont require additional documents. Currently we process it as a return in worldship.

For International returns we generate a UPS label trhough worldship which isn't easy to use. For International RMA exchanges within 30 days, we ask them to ship it themselves, let us know how much the cost was, and we manually refund that off their original order. Can this be done through ShipStation some how? UPS/DHL/FedEx/Post?

International returns, I have to manually create a UPS label via 3rd party clunky worldship app. For International RMA exchanges within 30 days, I ask them to send it, let me know how much the shipping cost was, and I manually refund that off their original order. There has to be a better way! (ShipStation to the rescue?)

Commercial invoices need to be created for customs. Also, these need to be able to be modified because the items being returned might be warrenty repairs therefore not costing original amount.

I think this is going to be a continual request that Shipstation customers make. What do we need to do to make this a higher priority?

The fact that this is not a part of ShipStation by now is befuddling, as OP and others have stated this would be incredibly beneficial.
+100 ! That is a huge caveat for anyone doing e-commerce (which I assume is literally 100% of ShipStation users). We need to be able to print return labels when using national carriers. Obviously, both USPS and Canada Post being the lame dinosaurs they are, will never pick that ball up, so it's up to services like ShipStation to step in. Being able to put USPS as a shipper in a Canadian account and vice-versa shouldn't be that big of a deal. And of course, the proposed idea of opening two ShipStation accounts works well for SS' bottom line, but not for ours. So a huge support for this feature, which we can't possibly be just 5 or 6 to request....

Hey @shipstation is there any word on this? Currently switched to DHL's email ship form, but I'm hoping you guys come out with something to better streamline this process.
