Suggestions for Writing a Great Idea Post
- Write a title to succinctly summarize your post. Other users should be able to identify if their idea is similar to yours just by reading the title so they will know to vote and comment on it!
- Explain the problem you are trying to solve and what you think should be added or changed in ShipStation to solve this problem.
- Describe how you would use this feature or how you think it should function to serve your need.
- Attach a screenshot to help illustrate your point.
- Put the idea in the category that best fits what you are trying to accomplish (for example: Order Management, Insights & Reporting, or Printing & Documents).
What to Expect With an Idea
- They are categorized in a logical way. If not, they may move them to the proper category.
- The title accurately reflects the idea content so others can understand. If not, they may edit the post title to help others identify posts they want to vote and comment on.
- That posts are really ideas and not bug reports or issues that require contacting our support team.
- That any request that has an existing solution or can be accomplished with existing features gets a response to let everyone know a solution or feature already exists and how to learn about it.

Assign different label formats for individual users
Currently you can only select one print template for all user accounts. In our case, we have hundreds of users using various hardware. Some of our teams have thermal label printers, whilst others use standard A4 laser printers. It would be a huge help if these teams could control the format of the labels they're generating to best suit their hardware set up.

Picklist modification to include #Required per Order
At the moment the pick list prints out the # Required items and the associated Order #. It does not show us how many # Required items belong to each associated Order.
This creates a major workflow issue. In fact we have to leave ShipStation, return to Shopify and use an external Shopify App to resolve the issue - which only partially helps as all our orders are sorted and tagged in ShipStation. So we are facing a barrier which is causing us to consider migrating away from ShipStation and trying to find a solution that better fits the workflow…

Adding Amazon`s customer extention phone number on Fedex labels
Amazon orders come through their system with their own phone number with an ext number for every customer.
Fedex shipping label is showing only the base number without the ext number, and Fedex`s delivery people cannot contact the customer when needed.
It would be great to include the full number the shipping labels.

Shipping Manifest should have an expanded header printed
I have to use the manifest when filing a claim with a carrier for reimbursement of shipping costs for lost shipments. This report needs (in my opinion) an expanded header to include the company name (or ShipStation Logo) as well as a date that reflects the reporting so that it appears more legitimate for submission to a carrier.

Fix issues with Puerto Rico (USA)
While selecting multiple orders to print from multiple channels, if one of the orders is from Puerto Rico USA, and pressing print labels it will get stuck on the loading wheel. Found out that Puerto Rico needs customs declaration and after inserting this multiple print batch orders works fine... need a way to notify the user to insert customs declaration values after pressing print

Support for the use of Shopify third-party order metadata in the customization of packing slips
Please add support for the use of Shopify third-party order metadata in the customization of pick lists and packing slips. We use Freshly to manage product batch and expiry information that is inserted into every order as metadata depending on the products added to the order. We would like to put this batch information on the packing slips that we produce within Shipstation.

Logo y color and black and white
when the uploaded logo of a store is in color, the quality in thermal printers make it look almost invisible. There should be two logo options to upload, one in black and white for the labels and packing slips and another for a color logo for branded communications

Mulit-tray printing option
When needing to print a packing slip (on regular paper) and a shipping label on sticky back labels, It would be really helpful for shipstation to give the option to select which tray to print from. Instead of the extra step of opening printing tray and switching out labels for paper or vice versa, just setting the print setting to always choose the correct tray on the printer. New Lowe's requirements that Shipstation doesn't offer makes SS a non-starter for lowe's vendors
Lowe's requires a new second label to be attached to their boxes that are shipped direct to store instead of direct to customer.
These look like shipping labels but contain UPC level data.
It is a requirement to sell on Lowe's now. SS not being able to generate this document as "other forms' like a customs document using pre existing order and product data SS already has, makes SS a non option for new Lowe's vendors.

Batch Summary in V3
Currently batch summaries are only available in the legacy view - we do a lot of split shipments between two fulfillment facilities which requires V3 to notify customers correctly in our Shopify platform.
Please add Batch Summary printing to V3!

Buyer Notes/Orders Notes in Pick List
Most important feature missing in Pick List; developer please consider to allow small customization in Pick List at user level. Buyer/Order Notes is very important at the time of preparing orders from Pick List....

Support for USPS Intelligent Barcode Printing
Stamps.com supports printing USPS Intelligent Barcodes on flats which would provide some trackability to a flats which currently don't have any tracking. Please add this Stamps.com capability to Shipstation so we can save money and provide our customers tracking data.

Reduce Font Size of Return Shipping (or Ship From) Address on Shipping Label
Can you guys please reduce the font size of the return shipping address or ship from address that's on the shipping label.
It's really big and it's the same size as the ship-to address on the label.
There is also no reason that the return/ship from address is so big on the label.
Also, our company ships our products out from California, but our brand name has another state name on it, and it confuses people.

recreating labels in bulk
We have a monthly subscription where we used to be able to go into shipped orders, organize by tag, and create NEW labels to ship the same order. The feature is now gone since the new update. I now have to either have the orders sit in my queue for a year if i split the order (if they purchased a year subscription) or go and individually find their orders in shipments in the thousands of orders we have to "void labels in bulk, have then go back to awaiting shipment, then in awaiting shipment create new labels in bulk"…

Print Custom Fields on Order Summary Report
Simply that, print the custom fields for each order, on the Order Summary Report. We make a lot of custom items, of which we put the details in the custom fields. The Order Summary Report is useless, to us, without this info
