Product Feedback & Fresh Ideas

The ShipStation Feedback Forum collects your ideas and allows you to vote and comment on other ideas so our product team can understand what new features are most important to you or what business challenges we need to address next.

Everyone has 20 votes to spend on ideas that are important to them (but you can comment as much as you like). 

While all ideas will get reviewed, it's simply not possible for all ideas to make it onto the product roadmap. The more activity an idea has, however, the more likely it is to be considered. So, be sure to check if your idea has already been posted so you can add your votes and comments to it! 

Suggestions for Writing a Great Idea Post

  • Write a title to succinctly summarize your post. Other users should be able to identify if their idea is similar to yours just by reading the title so they will know to vote and comment on it!
  • Explain the problem you are trying to solve and what you think should be added or changed in ShipStation to solve this problem. 
  • Describe how you would use this feature or how you think it should function to serve your need.
  • Attach a screenshot to help illustrate your point. 
  • Put the idea in the category that best fits what you are trying to accomplish (for example: Order Management, Insights & Reporting, or Printing & Documents).

What to Expect With an Idea 


Our moderators will regularly review posts to ensure:
    • They are categorized in a logical way. If not, they may move them to the proper category. 
    • The title accurately reflects the idea content so others can understand. If not, they may edit the post title to help others identify posts they want to vote and comment on.
    • That posts are really ideas and not bug reports or issues that require contacting our support team. 
    • That any request that has an existing solution or can be accomplished with existing features gets a response to let everyone know a solution or feature already exists and how to learn about it.
Our moderators will also update the statuses of posts as they are considered by our product team. If an idea makes it onto the roadmap, we'll update the idea status from Planned to Started to Completed as work progresses on the idea. If an idea is declined or archived, our moderator will update the status to indicate so and you will receive your votes back to use on other ideas in the future. 

Finally, if more information is needed on an idea, the moderator will post a reply to ask for them. If it is your idea or you have commented on the idea, you should receive an email notification when this occurs.

  1. Sync Products from Shopify or QuickBooks Commerce to Shipstation

    It would be a great added featured if you could sync the product information from Shopify or QuickBooks Commerce since all of our product information is already loaded with sku, title and UPC which currently we have to manually import using .csv files. Since all the data is needed for us to do ship verification through Shipstation this would be great to have.   2. Need opencart 3.0.3.7 integration

    We are in the process of upgrading our e-commerce platform from Opencart 1.5.6.4 to Opencart 3.0.3.7. We have been using shipstation for about a year and it works great for us and our warehouse. I see at https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026141311#UUID-bf2fbc25-7e39-ab00-e2e7-11adf44468c5 that shipstation only integrates with opencart up to version 3.0.2.0. I need a solution for this soon please.

  3. ShipSurance billing - Refunds and all transactions need to be displayed!

    I had contacted Shipstation today to see if my voided ShipSurance insurance was actually refunded; because there is NO way to see the last 14 days of insurance purchases or refunds with ShipSurance.

    When Shipstation finally got back to me, I was told that this "FEATURE" (to see our purchased and refunded Shipsurance payments) is NOT AVAILABLE... Instead, I was told to create this "Feedback Suggestion," in hopes that it would get "voted on." (See attached email from your staff).

    I am NOT happy! That is NOT a good answer. We buy tons of insurance on a daily basis, and…

  4. Allow ShipStation to Use Shopify's Reduced Rates

    Our business gets a substantially reduced rate from Shopify for USPS Priority Mail, but we are currently unable to access that rate through ShipStation. Because ShipStation allows us to organize and efficiently print our orders, we would prefer to do all label-printing in ShipStation, but if we want to take advantage of this reduced rate, we currently have to print USPS Priority Mail labels through Shopify, which hurts our workflow. Having the ability to print labels with Shopify's rates through ShipStation would be a huge help for our warehouse and would help keep costs down for our customers.

  5. integrate amazon.NL as a store

    amazon.NL is missing. It is a brand new amazon marketplace and it is not yet available as a store option in ShipStation. I hope it soon will be.

  6. no feedback if orders fail to import

    Right now, orders that fail to meet Shipstation criteria (e.g. missing postal code, invalid characters in the address) are not imported from Wix Stores and simply 'disappear'. Instead, Shipstation should at least notify me that there was an issue importing an order, and what that issue was, so I can correct any issues on the Wix side before trying to re-import.

    Right now the order disappears into thin air. The customer never receives their product. I have no way of knowing this has happened, until our business gets a complaint. You can do better.

  7. Label Setting Per Store

    We do mainly dropshipping for a number of stores. Some of our stores require different reference info on the shipping label (ex: sku, PO number). Currently you can only have one layout for reference data for your account not per store on your account.

  8. Quickbooks online integration discount support

    When an order in Shipstation has a discount applied to the total, it should use the QBO "Discount" field on the invoice for the discount amount. Right now the behavior is completely inconsistent - for some selling channels, Shipstation creates a new product/service for the discount, and for some other selling channels, it just ignores the discount entirely (which means I have to go edit each imported invoice manually, a gigantic waste of time for something that should have been automatic). There's a "Discount" field on the invoice for a reason, use it.

  9. Add Direct Freight Express as a carrier

    Would be great to add Direct Freight Express as a carrier option. They are great to deal with and rates are cheaper than most couriers.

  10. SFP – FedEx Standard and Priority overnight contract rates for “FedEx envelope” not displaying

    We're requesting that the Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime shipping in ShipStation give the option to choose FedEx Envelope as a packaging type. As our FedEx envelope / bonus weight rating is not reflecting on' Amazon Buy shipping API'. I was hoping that shipstation may be able to step in, in some capacity, to assist:

    We need your help with regards to back to the Buy Amazon Shipping API Rates.
    We have especially negotiated overnight (one day ) rates with FedEx express….

  12. ShipStation and MyDHL+ Integration

    It would be great if there was a native integration between ShipStation and MyDHL+ so that all DHL labels created in ShipStation are imported into MyDHL+. This will allow us to create return labels from the original shipment if required as ShipStation does not offer international returns.

    This would improve our companies productivity and minimise human error. Thank you!

  13. Add Amazon Australia FBA as a way to fulfill Shopify orders

    Hi guys,
    First off, we love your service!
    I can see you currently provide fulfillment by Amazon US UK and CA but not for Amazon in Australia.. would be great if you could make that option available as well to your AU based customers!!

  14. Severely Lacking Shopping Cart Integration

    I posted this in your forum:

    I have Opencart integrated with Shipstation. I'm finding that Shipstation has not and will not map basic data fields imported from Opencart. It is very annoying to see all the column options and not be able to use half of them.

    Example fields available using the basic API:

    "gift": true,
    "giftMessage": "Thank you!",
    "paymentMethod": "Credit Card",
    "warehouseLocation": "Aisle 1, Bin 7",
    "customField1": "Custom data that you can add to an order. See Custom Field #2 & #3 for more info!",

  15. Canpar schedule pickups

    Would be very usefull to be able to also schedule pickups for Canpar otherwise, we need to go on their website to do so...the avantages to work with shipstation is to have everything on 1 platform.

  17. deliver by

    Amazon Prime utilizes a Deliver By Date that currently cannot be seen in ShipStation. Orders that are delivered out of that window can negatively affect our metrics. It would be nice if ShipStation could show the deliver by date range so that my team and I don't need to have amazon orders open separately. Having both pages open defeats the purpose of using ShipStation as a primary shipping method.

  19. OneRate Packages: Not Just For OneRate!

    FedEx has a number of their branded packages. These are available for One Rate services, but can also be used for other FedEx Express services, such as international shipping.

    When selecting FedEx packages from their carrier list, some of their packages, such as the Small Box, are listed as "Fedex One Rate" and cannot be used for other services.

    The FedEx Pak and Envelope are listed both as the One Rate version, and just the package. This allows a shipper to use the package they have with the service they want to use.

    My request is that all FedEx packages…

  20. Show Negotiated & Published Shipping Rates

    We used to use FedEx software and UPS Worldship which both provide us with a negotiated rate as well as a published rate so we could charge our customers accordingly. There is no way for us to use Ship Station for a negotiated rate at this time let along the published rate and we're noticing that what WorldShip shows is not the same as Ship Station.

    Having both these fields would be extremely helpful for those of us using Ship Station and Shopify for wholesale orders.
