  1. Import and export product description and other attributes

I would like the ability to import and export product attributes like product description, image url, etc.

  2. Allow SKU aliases in Quickbooks Online Integration

It's great that you guys have implemented the SKU alias feature in product management. Given that some selling channels (e.g. Amazon) impose their own SKU configuration, those who use multiple sales channels often are unable to keep SKUs consistent across those channels.

As we prepare to integrate ShipStation with Quickbooks Online, it would be a HUGE value-add for us if there were an option in the integration to respect SKU aliases for orders exported to QBO. Without this, we will be creating orders in QBO using different SKUs for the same product on different orders depending on channel.

  3. Allow the API method /orders/markasshipped to reduce inventory

Are you able to change the API call /orders/markasshipped to reduce inventory levels in Shipstation based on the items on the order? When an order is shipped, the item quantities on the order should be decremented since those items have been physically shipped from another system. The fact that this is not done may be a bug as this is a fairly common use case. You could even add a Boolean (true/false) parameter to the method call signalling if inventory should be deducted or not.

Thanks for your great idea! We’ll keep this in mind but would like to see more interest from other users before we pursue this new feature. If you know any other users that are interested please send them here!

  4. Product - Allow Export or Import of Products and Aliases

Would be nice to have an import and export of products, with delete option as well.

For instance if we have 20 Aliases that link to One SKU and basically all 20 are the same SKU, let us import SKU A, and Alias skus 1,2,3,4,5,6, etc to all link to that one instead of doing it manually from the Product cumbersome page.

Also, all delete option in bulk for all Alias's and skus. Archive doesn't seem to work as long accounts (11 years) tend to re-use numbers and if one is archived it causes havoc.

    Delete and purge option is…

  5. Automation Rules - Import and Export

So to end a lot of Automation creation, issues, dilemmas, dealing with cumbersome creation of and/or buttons, etc. Make an upload available, and download of all automation rules.

CSV possibly to keep it consistent. Give a sample of 10 complete automations, or give us a macro enabled Excel format that prefills in options.

For instance, we have over 80 automation rules, multiple accounts and items we work with, and for instance the Amazon Prime Shipping integration last year caused us to recreate them all, and to recreate 80 new ones since we had orders on Seller Fulfilled Prime, and normal…

  6. Automated scheduled product import from current running eBay/Amazon listings via API

Would love to see Shipstation do scheduled imports of products from current listings on eBay/Amazon automatically via the APIs.

We list dozens of one-off products a day. Currently Shipstation only imports when something is sold, or via CSV. Creating products manually or via CSV is tedious and redundant. We would love to be able to enter warehouse storage locations for products shortly after listing, so pick lists actually work when we get orders.

We are currently using Sixbit purely for storage locations and pick lists, as it does offer the capability via the API's. We will close our Sixbit account…

  7. Update/Remove tags from products

    Product Import Updating - Tags

It is currently possible to ADD a tag to a product via CSV update, however, you cannot UPDATE or REMOVE tags from products via CSV update. The only way to remove a product tag currently is to do so manually, very inneffective when working with a large number of SKU's.

  8. Not all Shipped Items are Showing in Shipping Reports

When trying to use the SHIPPED ITEMS report, I discovered that a large order that went out the previous week was not included in this report. After speaking with your rep via chat, it was discovered that because we marked the order "shipped" manually, it isn't included in the report.

This makes the SHIPPED ITEMS report useless.

Can you please include ALL shipped items regardless of how they were shipped? (this one happened to go out via truck)

  9. Bulk order update upon product import

Currently the ability to apply product data updates/changes to existing orders only exists when you are making changes to individual products. It would be extremely valuable for this feature to also be available for product imports, for example when updating warehouse location through a bulk product import and having those changes be reflected in current orders in the queue.

Under products, the ability to search by barcode would be very useful. Right now, only Name, SKU, and Warehouse location are.

As part of the Scan to Verify Shipment Items project, we’ll be adding support for searching by UPC in the Products and Inventory grids. If you use a hand held scanner you’d be able to scan the UPC into the search field until we implement a “scan to view product” type function.

  11. Import field for Alias SKUs

I was really happy to see support for Alias SKUs in the product update today! We have a very large number of these (enough that manually inputting them is nearly impossible) and would love to be able to have them included as a field in the product import. Is this planned?

Thanks for your input! You’re right that we currently do not have a way to import alias SKUs in bulk, but we recently enhanced our combine product feature to also allow you to create aliases. When you click “Combine” from the Products page, you’ll see something a little different now.

For now, we’ll keep this request open and in addition to Dave La Chasse Blank Apparel’s comment, please let us know what your situation looks like today and what you’re looking to accomplish!

  12. Use Shipstation to manage SHIPPING MATERIALS!

Today we use Shipstation's workflow engine to make shipping box/envelope decisions for us. As an example, if an order comes in that is below 13oz, it would go into a "custom 13oz box" and if it's between 14-16oz it goes into another, and on and on. This has become a fully baked solution for us, and it's working great.Where we stumble on this is that we have no place to manage our shipping MATERIALS. Not inventory, per se, but actually the count of the boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and such. Maybe it's not worth managing, but for us, if we…

Thanks for letting us know your thoughts. We see a lot of value in your idea and we would like to know more on your current workflow when managing the inventory of shipping materials.

Once we can gather more feedback from our users with this need and do some research ourselves, the product team will review your request and you’ll hear from us once we have made a decision.

  13. Support Kitted products / Create "Bill of Goods" / Update Inventory for Kits

A lot of the SKU's we sell are actually kits of several different items bundled together (example - 200 current comic book bags and boards). Given the current limitations of eBay/Amazon/Shipstation, we are forced to create mutant SKU's for kits like that (for example, this SKU might be something like 2-PACKS-CUR / 2-PACKS-BBCUR, which means 2 packs of current bags and 2 packs of current boards). This isn't the best way to sell kitted items. Most good inventory systems allow you to create a "bill of goods" that will show up underneath a kit SKU. For example, this would show…

  14. Importing Product Templates from the Marketplace into Manual Orders

    Hello,

I get a fair amount of orders through email and payments through PayPal that never actually enter the marketplace (woocommerce) that I use. Because of this I end up creating manual orders often enough that I've begun to feel like my process is very inefficient.

All of the products ordered through my website automatically come in through the marketplace with pictures, weights, and names already attached to them. All these saved templates are in my marketplace and have been entered manually. I was really hoping there was a way to connect my marketplace product templates to Shipstation in a…

  17. WooCommerce gift note import

WooCommerce has a "This is a gift" feature visible during checkout, a lot like Amazon. Amazon orders import gift notes automatically, but WooCommerce gift notes are not imported, at least not to the "gift note" field. It would be great if it were possible to import data straight into the gift note field from WooCommerce.

  18. Apply Product Attribute Changes to Aliases

Changes made to a master SKU ("surviving product"), like name changes, UPC changes, tags, category assignment, shipping settings, etc, should be automatically propagated to their aliases as well.

  19. Be able to add and remove inventory with a barcode scanner

Should add a feature where we could scan the barcodes of the items we get in for inventory and scan them again when shipping to remove it from inventory. This would increase inventory management effectiveness.

  20. Push stock count from BigCommerce into ShipStation

Please make it possible to adjust inventory from BigCommerce to ShipStation. This would keep inventory current instead of requiring us to manually increase the stock count when additional stock is purchased or a customer returns an item. As it stands, the only thing ShipStation does is reduce inventory from a stock amount that is manually put into ShipStation.
