  1. Shipment Tracking Number Status Field & Estimated Delivery Date

    It would be ideal to be able to go to the shipments tab and see the information that currently appears when you mouse over the icon next to the tracking number "Delivery Status Unknown", "Arrived at FedEx location", "On vehicle for delivery", "delivered", "Shipment information sent to FedEx." That way we can see a view of what's going on with our shipments and sort by shipment status.

    It would also be great to have a field for estimated delivery date so we can update our customers without being forced to visit different shipping carrier websites.

    Thank you for providing all of that great information @Robert. We’ll keep this one in mind if we make other related changes to the Shipments page. For now, we’d like to see if this idea will gain more traction with other users who’d also like additional shipment statuses.

  2. Drop-menu for multi-Package Shipments

    A lot of our shipments are multi-package shipments. So when we enter the screen to add packages, it asks us to enter the weight and dimensions of each package.

    You have solved the problem for multi-package products. However, if it is a long list of different products, we still need to enter the dimensions and weight of each package. As you cannot save a profile of an odd order with many different products.

    I wonder if it is possible to instead of entering this data, to simply choose the item with a drop menu out of the data base. This…

  3. Allow Editing of Line Items in Orders from Online Marketplaces

    Here's our use case:
    We sell multi-day Juice cleanses, which have a complicated delivery process. We deliver fresh pressed juices every two days of a cleanse, such that in order to process this for fulfillment, we split our orders---one for each 2-day delivery---and modify the Line Item Titles indicating which days of the cleanse are to be delivered.

    We started this process in a manual store and then were surprised the same ability to modify an order's line items is not available in orders from Online Marketplaces.

    Hey @James, thank you for posting this! Manual orders are ones that are the most flexible since they are created in ShipStation, and your store’s orders should remain largely untouched as they are the most accurate source of information.

    Have you looked into using order tags, internal notes, or custom fields to store this information? You can create filters for any of the mentioned fields—and they can be included on packing slips—so locating these orders and shipping them will be easy once you have everything set up.

  5. Alerts for shipment delivery exceptions

    Recently we had a package that was returned to sender. The tracking information shows that we received the package, but we believe the package to be lost.

    Our team had not been regularly checking the delivery exceptions tab of the shipments page, so this order went into the error state without us knowing about it.

    If we could choose to turn on alerts when orders go into the delivery exception state, our team could have investigated and addressed the issue much sooner.

  6. Add Orders Tagging & Order Exports while working in Batch

    We currently use the new batch options as working folders for orders in which we after tag and export to order and process in other systems.

    Adding the Order actions such as tagging and exporting is essential for the batch view!

  7. Multi Package Shipping for DPD

    The vast majority of our orders require more than one box and therefore have to be manually fulfilled.
    DPD support multi package shipping so please add this to the UK integration

  8. If you can't go around pre-paid postage, how about creating a feature to automatically void a label if tracking isn't updated within X weeks

    So the idea of not having to do pre-paid return labels seems to be dead (it was posted almost 4.5 years ago).

    How about having ship station automatically void a label if the tracking hasn't updated in X weeks time? If I can void it manually, there should be no excuse why ship station can't have this feature to automatically void it for me for USPS service.

    Maybe even have it for UPS/Fedex as well?

  9. Combine Shipment / Don't Combine Orders

    Customers with multiple orders from our various sales channels often request a single shipment.

    Currently combining orders means that one order number remains and the other orders are "lost." This results in the "lost" orders being unsearchable in Shipstation.

    It would better to combine the shipment instead of the orders.

    This is what the customer is expecting to happen and it is a more intuitive handling of order data for users.

  10. package set

    Allow for "automation rules" to apply "Package Sets" in order to process multi-carton shipments and retrieve rate quotes faster.

    For instance, you ship your products in ready to ship cartons, each product being its own. If you have an order for 3 units, you can create a multi-carton Package Set and set an automation rule to do the following: If Number of Items is 3, assign Package Set #3 and it will automatically build 3 identical cartons which all you then need to do is print the label.

  11. Automation rule that allows for the creation of 2 packages based on SKU quantity

    For example, an order for quantity 2 of Shoe A comes in. We pre pack all of our packages/dont have the boxes 2 combine 2 pairs of shoe A into one box, so we need a 2 package shipment to be created. This is currently done manually.

    We DO NOT want to "split" the order in our system though. Just make a 2 package shipment.

    We would like to have the ability to bring in order tags from shopify. We tag orders with various things and need to have those tags available to us.

  14. Order Links

    My team throws around a LOT of plaintext Order IDs in Slack as we go about our day.

    If we need to look up an order, we then have to go to Shipstation, enter the order in search, wait, and then do our thang.

    To minimize time and friction, I wanted to write a snippet to automatically convert the plaintext order ID to a link that would open the corresponding Order ID in Shipstation. It would shave off 15-45 seconds from every order lookup... time which adds up!

    It seems like a simple fix to be able to link to…

    It sure would be helpful to have a icon on the "Buyer / Recipient Info" dialog box to click on to see where the customer is located.

    Currently I copy and paste into google maps. Sure would be nice for a one click feature.

  16. Calculate Total Package Dimensions Using Ordered Products

    A customer orders several products. Use the dimensions of each product to calculate the total cubic inches of the order. We can then use this information to choose the correct box size for those of us that use cubic shipping. Seems like that would be pretty simple to do!

    I am very pumped about ShipStation handling returns as it makes sense but I have a couple tweaks that seem to be important and missing. One critical missing piece of information on your returns section is a Comment box for the customer. A lot of times a return cannot be handled with just pre-defined drop-down menus, let alone just one. Having a comment box allows the customer to select Defective and comment that they want a return or why it is defective.

  18. Google Express - Combining Orders Alert needed asap

    Google Express - Combining Orders Alert needed asap

    Per customer support the zip code and email address must be the same for the alert to be produced. This will be an issue as google express seems to create a separate order for each item thus creating a unique marketplace email each order. This prevents the alert from being produced.

    Please adjust your rules/make a way for the Google express orders to provide the "combine orders alert" asap.

  19. 60 day Order Activity Deletion

    Why would you have all order activity & history delete upon 60 days automatically? This is information that should stay indefinitely with any order that is created. Your agent replied that "If we did not delete history after a certain amount of time, that would be an exceedingly large amount of data to store." which may be true, but its one reason why we are paying for your software & service. Besides cutting-cost on your end financially, there is absolutely no benefit to any users by doing this. Please allow Order Activity to be retained indefinitely on any order. If…

    An order’s record itself can never be deleted. It can be inactivated, but an order cannot be deleted. No order entry will be permanently wiped from the system. However, the system is working as intended that the order activity is removed after roughly 2 months.

    And to help us understand your workflow, how frequently are you going into orders that are older than 2 months old to check the activity? And is this under situations such as a wrong delivery address or when trying to see who on your team shipped a package, etc. that you go back to view these older orders’ activity?

  20. Display the Master SKU for alias SKUs

    I would like the Master SKU to be displayed by default on the orders page for all of the alias SKUs connected to that SKU.
