  1. Create Return Label Via API

    Our site allows customers to request an RMA. When we approve an RMA request, I want to automatically create the return label and email it to the customer via the API.

    Thank you all for adding your ideas to the forum here! We’ll keep this in mind when updating our API; for now, we’d like to see what other users think about having return labels generated through the API before moving forward here.

  2. Order Transfer

    Having the feature or capability to move orders from one store to another. It can start with the implementation of order management between the manual Shipstation stores. It is very troublesome to do the work around of cancelling orders and re-importing them.

    Ability to further customize what each user sees in ShipStation (Shipped, Cancelled tabs on the left side of page)When we have people join our shipping team, I know that ShipStation can be a bit overwhelming. So the simpler and more straightforward the layout, the easy it is to train people. What it accomplishes: Easy way to train new employees.

    Hey, everyone! We’re still interested in this idea since it gained a lot of support when it first came out. Can you tell us more about customizable views and user permissions?

    As per our last update, have you tried using User Restrictions to allow your new shippers to only see orders assigned to them?

  4. More user friendly Internal Notes

    There should be an add button to add a new notes and after saving it will automatically pre-populate the user who made the note, the date of the net, and the note itself. This way for companies like us over 30+ users, it will be easier to track who made the note and when. As a user coming from ShipWorks, this is a very organized and useful feature to have.

  6. Advanced RMA - Need custom Reasons

    All companies vary in product and therefore they can vary widely in RMA reasons. Shipstation should allow custom RMA reasons to be set. We have a complex set of rules which correlate to different RMA reasons. Our exchange and return is actually higher than most companies because we allow customers to TRY things risk free and exchange them or get them personalized. Allowing us to set these custom RMA reasons would allow us to use shipstation to track properly the RMA reason that is specific to our business model.

  7. Splitting Multiple orders Simultaneously

    It would be nice if we could split multiple orders simultaneously. We usually deal with 10k + orders that we have to split. It takes up a lot of time to split these orders especially since my team is small. This would speed up our process.

    Hey @josesepulveda! Thanks so much for taking the time to bring this up! Can you tell me more about the orders you’re splitting? For example, are you always splitting off one particular product because it may be too large to fit into one box?

  9. Show Tracking Numbers For Marked As Shipped Orders

    When an order is in a Shipped status and a tracking number exists, the tracking number should be available in the Orders list or the Order Details page.

    It is currently shown on the Order Details page for manual shipments, but not for any fulfillment.

    It should be displayed above Shipping Info even when it was a fulfillment order. There's really no reason for it not to be displayed here.

    We need the ability to manipulate rates or show no rates for each user. Both UPS and FedEx have this feature in ups.com CampusShip and fedex.com ShipAdmin. We have many users and / or third party vendors that use our accounts and we charge them additionally or public rates when using our UPS/FedEx account. We need to be able add handling charges as a percentage or fixed amounts on top of base shipping charges. For some users, we’d like to hide the rates completely. This is common practice in shipping industry and we’re surprised you don’t have that configuration option…

  12. Set insurance amount for carrier in Automation Rules

    In our business we have multiple forms of insurance on our shipments as we sell a lot of laptop computers and need to make sure it is safe. Within our FedEx Account we have discounted rates and special policies so we only need to apply a set amount of insurance to each package as it is cheaper to insure it for more or less than the sell price usually.The current option in Automation Rules only allows you to set the Insurance to Carrier, ShipStation Insurance or External/Other.The ability to set the amount of insurance on the shipment as well would…

  13. The ability to have decimal points in the quantities.

    We sell items by weight, so when someone purchase 1.25 lbs it shows up as a quantity of 1.25. Shipstation rounds this up to a quantity of 2 which makes all our packing slips and international shipping labels incorrect. When a person purchases 1.25 lbs at $80 for instance their international shipping label should show they spent $100 but instead Shipstation rounds it up to $160. This is inaccurate and they will then possibly be liable for duties on something they didn't buy. I don't understand why you wouldn't allow decimal points in the quantities. If you did this it…

    Notify us (or designated email) when a return label has been used by the recipient (ie picked up by the carrier).

    Also, generate a report showing all unused labels

    Can SS enable having more than one FBA account linked to a SS account? We ship products for multiple companies, each with their own FBA account, but can only link a single FBA account to our SS account.

    Can you please add the "Ship By Date" field to the custom data export for Orders? The "Ship By Date" field already exists in each order, so hopefully this can be implemented quickly.

  18. Brand Return Portal

    The branded return portal is awesome! I would love to use the feature but cannot based on the return service and package type default. There should be an option to select the original service and package type used on the order.

    For example, if I use USPS for my default return and a customer has a big heavy item, I tested this on an order by the way, it will cost $90.00 for USPS vs. $40.00 for UPS. If I use UPS for my default service and it's a small light item, it will cost $9.40 vs. $2.80 for First…

  19. Allow us to delete canceled orders

    There should be a way to delete orders from the 'canceled' tab - sometimes an import doesn't go quite right, or perhaps you created the order to get a shipping cost for a customer who backed out - there's no reason to keep all that data in the canceled tab.
    Furthermore, and more importantly - if it's a botched import - you have to change to all new order #'s or re-importing will only update the already botched orders (and if it's the order # that's botched, you're way out of luck.)

    Let us delete canceled orders.

    Hey @Dave, thank you for bringing this up! You’re right, the order number is the identifier in which we can look for to update order information. For example, if you mis-mapped product name and SKU you can re-import the file with the existing order numbers to update these fields.

    One other thing you can look into is deactivating your manual store and creating a new one. This will hide all orders associated with this store.

    And if you’re looking to create shipping rates, have you looked into the rate calculator? This will let you provide quotes to potential customers or for you to get a better understanding of the available shipping services.   20. Change the font colors for age of orders

    Different sellers have different processing times, so it would be nice to be able to adjust the age at which an order goes to the panic red zone.
