  1. LImiting Inventory Permissions by Store

    We have more than one customer's inventory in the system. I would like to give one of my customers a log in so that they can enter manual orders and see their inventory. There is not currently a way for them to only see THEIR inventory, all of the inventory for both customers always shows up. I would like to be able to limit them to only see the inventory in the store that they have access to. Can we make that happen please?

    I would like the Master SKU to be displayed by default on the orders page for all of the alias SKUs connected to that SKU.

  3. Add character count operator to filters

    As noted in your FAQ, some shipping providers have a 30 charater limit. With address verification enabled, sometimes ship line 1 and 2 will get merged causing the address length > 30 characters. There's no clear or efficient way to tell which orders have too long of shipping addresses.

    Maybe add character length as a filter operator or and additional address warning flag?

  4. returns portal

    I am very pumped about ShipStation handling returns as it makes sense but I have a couple tweaks that seem to be important and missing. One critical missing piece of information on your returns section is a Comment box for the customer. A lot of times a return cannot be handled with just pre-defined drop-down menus, let alone just one. Having a comment box allows the customer to select Defective and comment that they want a return or why it is defective.

  5. Tag orders by hot key

    I'd like the ability to assign order tags by hot key, the same way we can currently set shipping presets. better yet, assign both a preset and a tag with the same hot key

  6. Todoist

    Todoist Intergration for product processing and fulfillment after labels are created. If the items could be exported into a checklist within Todoist so that multiple people would be able to fulfill the orders and update in realtime while reducing the chance an order got lost in translation. Also helps me log and delagate at a deeper lever than shipstation is capable of. My products have multiple layers of customization and I need a more refined method to process them after creating a batch.

  7. fba tracking shopify orders

    We have our Shopify orders fulfilled directly through FBA. ShipStation will pull these order in, regardless, and mark them as fulfilled. This is great because ShipStation becomes a repository of all of our orders regardless of how they are fulfilled. However, the tracking numbers from these Shopify-FBA orders do not come in. In addition, when the order details are pulled up on these orders, no "Shipments" show up in the Shipments box to show any previous shipments.     Allow for "automation rules" to apply "Package Sets" in order to process multi-carton shipments and retrieve rate quotes faster.

    For instance, you ship your products in ready to ship cartons, each product being its own. If you have an order for 3 units, you can create a multi-carton Package Set and set an automation rule to do the following: If Number of Items is 3, assign Package Set #3 and it will automatically build 3 identical cartons which all you then need to do is print the label.

  9. Paypal invoice

    Support option to allow orders to be tagged with Paypal.invoice_number (Invoice #) in addition to "invoice id" and "transaction id". For many paypal setups, the invoice_number (####) is what customer sees and needs to be reflected in shipstation. Attached is an example for Invoice # (4368) with an id of Invoice ID:
    INV2-9M9D-YZJF-D7BF-KWGF. In shipstation - only the 20 character INV2 string is captured.

  10. Enhance the Package Preset Feature

    I'll try to be positive about this, but it will be difficult. Over 6 months ago, we got the ability to have Package Presets for Multi Package Shipments, which was great, except it seems pretty half baked, and not very powerful at all.

    We need the ability to EDIT these presets, instead of deleting them and rebuilding them. We just had the dimension of a product change on us, and we now have to delete SEVERAL existing presets, and rebuild them all, just to update the single product who's dimensions have changed.

    Please fix this half baked feature....

  11. ADD A STATUS COLUMN TO SHIPMENTS PAGE OR UPDATE SYMBOLS

    ADD STATUS TO SHIPMENTS PAGE - the three status symbols on the Tracking number field do not provide enough information. A separate STATUS column is needed that will show what the latest information is it can be easily seen if there is an issue with a package. Specifically a package can have an in process symbol when in fact it is only tracking number assigned and received by shipper but it was never actually picked up. Or maybe a simpler way would be to add a symbol showing that or assign that status to the ? symbol and only use…

  12. Split Orders on Mobile App

    Replicate same functionality of being able to split up orders in the mobile app, so it mimics the same in desktop mode. For example, if you have products that are stocked in various warehouses, and a customer orders, and it includes say 3 different items stocked in 3 different warehouses, we should be able to, from the mobile app, split up the orders, create 3 different labels from each respective warehouse, and ship the goods. Currently, we have to run to a desktop to do that type of work, and it takes way too much time.

    Currently, you are only able to get a ShipBy Date via the API, not the Delivery Date. Since you’re asking for DeliveryDate being accessible via the API, we’ll leave this request open.

  14. Add "requested shipping service" to manual order input screen

    The manual order input screen needs to be more complete. You should be able to enter requested shipping service, for instance, when inputting a manual order. Imagine a customer service or sales agent taking an order over the phone....they should be able to put ALL relevant information in when the order is created (including tags, notes, etc). I know this seems like a small change, but saving a couple clicks can be very important when a customer is on the phone.

  15. Custom Alerts after create label

    We would like to be able to create custom alerts for our shipping team to try and avoid minor errors that can be made. For example dimensions not being entered for packages over 1 lb. We have 2 UPS account, so not selecting the correct account. Currently you get alerts for packages that have insurance or if the address is too long and will get cut off.

    I think this can be a great plus for a lot of customers using the software and will also be able to create a lot of auto-filters you can't make on order import.

  16. Order Refresh Button - Check for updates to an already imported order

    If an order has been pulled into SS, and then subsequently the customer contacts the seller to make an order change (Add an item, remove, etc) the order is not updated within SS. Regardless of how many times you request a refresh, an orders contents that has already been pulled into shipstation is not re-checked.

  18. Brand Return Portal

    The branded return portal is awesome! I would love to use the feature but cannot based on the return service and package type default. There should be an option to select the original service and package type used on the order.

    For example, if I use USPS for my default return and a customer has a big heavy item, I tested this on an order by the way, it will cost $90.00 for USPS vs. $40.00 for UPS. If I use UPS for my default service and it's a small light item, it will cost $9.40 vs. $2.80 for First…

    Love the branded returns page, however we'd like to have the option to customize more to our liking.

    1. Allow us to modify and change reasons for return
    2. When reason of return is "Other" have a notes field for customer to enter details of return
    3. Ability to disable certain products from being allowed to be returned

  20. Email Packing Slip (drop shippers, vendors, etc.)

    Send order Packing Slip to an email (3rd party drop shipper / vendors).

    Many companies use 3rd parties to ship products.

    What's needed is to select an order in ShipStation, and then simply select an option to "EMAIL PACKING SLIP TO: ABC VENDOR (email)".

    Very simple solution, that right now is a very painful workaround (having to manually print packing slips to pdf format, find a vendor email, compose the email, attach the pdf, send, then go back to ShipStation and tell it the order is pending shipment elsewhere.

    This could also be enhanced with a little automation to pre-split…
