Return API + Webhooks
Returns should be available via the API. Currently, listing shipments returns show as a shipment with 'isReturnLabel' = true however the order information represents the initial order - not the return.
Also, there is no notification to OMS that a return has been initiated or received. The Webhooks should be expanded to include notifications for return events.3 votes -
Order Item Inventory
I work for a business that works in direct to consumer manufacturing with an emphasis on heavily customizable build to order products. Because of this, individual pieces of an order may complete the manufacturing process at vastly different times. In order to make the workflow smoother for the shipping department we have started to use the tag system to keep track of what is already completed and waiting on the shelf. Sorting by none assigned only
Currently sorting the orders grid this way is the only way to see those orders grouped together. I do understand this is inconvenient, and adding he option to view only unassigned orders to the filter would be great! I would definitely recommend letting our developers know your thoughts on our product feedback forum

Ability to sort multiple columns in shipstation
Hello,
It would be nice to be able to sort multiple columns in ship station. So like an excel spreadsheet, we could sort by column A, then by column B. For example I may sort by type of service, but also by item name or zone, which would make how I ship and when and where more efficient. Please contact me with any questions. murray@bgasalt.com

Let me choose Canada Post location for shipping
We need to be able to ship packages from a different Canada Post location than the nearest one. In fact, Canada Post recommends we go to a different location when we have many packages to ship at once. Currently there is no option in ShipStation to choose the Canada Post location we want. Canada Post looks at our End of Day forms to see which location we need to ship our packages from. The current location chosen is small, downtown (requiring parking costs), is currently surrounded by construction, and the location also said they are not used to processing packages…

bulk update ship date
This seems like such a simple thing and it is so aggregating that the option is not available! Please add "Ship Date" as an option to change in the Bulk Update. Currently, this can be done one order at a time in the Configure Shipment box but it is literally impossible to do for 100's of orders!
We print out our labels the day prior to pick up by Fedex so that the orders can be processed and then be ready for pick up the following morning. We run into an issue with Fedex where they have to re-label all…3 votes -
Option for users to see only orders created by them
Some users don't need to see the current and past orders created by other users. The option to assign the orders only works after the order is created so if a user creates an order he/she won't be able to see it until the admin assigns it to him/her so it doesn't make sense.

- Marketplace could update once the label is created.
- Customer notification/email is sent once the package hits the mail steam.
They are currently tied together. We ship Tues-Wed but start printing labels and prepping on Monday. Customers are notified on Monday and start asking questions when the create label option is used.
We tried the mail steam option and now the orders just stay processing in the marketplace and this causes confusion in the workflow.
It seems like this could be an easy fix and would be great to have.

Address Line Character Limit
Create a rule to where if the address in line 1 exceeds X number of characters, to move over to address line 2

Fix bug where special characters in telephone number field cannot be edited
If you upload a spreadsheet where the customers phone number has special characters, it successfully imports the orders, but the labels cannot be created because of the special characters in the phone field, you also cannot manually edit them. Any attempt to edit does nothing.

Cannot import the same exported spreadsheet
If you export a spread sheet, and then try to reimport it, ShipStation doesn't show most of the columns as they have a special character in them. So shipstation exports orders with unsupported characters.

Please offer the USPS package options in the rate browser within an order
Currently, the rate browser at the top within orders lists the USPS services with package options (i.e. Flat Rate Envelope, Box A, etc.). This feature is not visible when viewing the rate browser within an order. It is much easier to view the package pricing options on one screen versus changing the package type within the order.

Combine orders that are not on the same page.
We have pre-orders for two different products that customers bought both of. They are unfortunately a month or two apart and not able to be seen on the same page. Would love to be able to see all the orders that can be combined, not just the ones on the same page (max 500).

See estimated delivery dates for Order
If you have lots of orders (more than 100 say), and you want to check that none will arrive after a specific date, there is no way to query or view the orders by estimated delivery date. It is a one-by-one manual process which not optimal.

Additional Views/Filtering for stores
We have multiple users who looks after certain stores, the only way our users can see their stores is by selecting the view we have made. Currently we are limited to only 5 views that apply to all accounts but we need 8+.
Having the ability to:
- have more views than 5
- set a view for each user rather than having it apply to all accounts
- easier way to filter for more stores at once rather than scrolling through store list e.g. search bar on filter & way to save the search (see picture attached)1 vote -
Use a less confusing datetime for API communications
The API returns and consumes a highly unusual datetime format.
1) The timezone is vague: times returned by the API could be -7 or -8 UTC depending on date.
2) The default timezone ("pacific time") is unusual.
These two factors create unnecessary (and risky) date math for both Shipstation and client code. Using an epoch format (or even 8601 @ UTC) would be significantly easier + less error-prone for both parties.

Option for Notification and approval of auto corrected addresses
When an order is imported and the auto correction of addresses is turned on there is no way to know if the address has been altered from the original or what the original address was.
Generally this works well on domestic orders just adding the extra digits to the zip code, however occasionally on international addresses it can alter the street, town, region, and postal code to an invalid (showing validated) address.
When we used Stamps.com for daily orders you could not proceed with orders unless all auto corrected addresses were verified. I see the benefits of using the auto…
