  1. A tax ID saved to a specific customer record

    We mainly use Shipstation for B2B exportations and i would really appreciate the opportunity to have a field to put the Tax ID when i import customers.

    Also, this Tax ID should be linked with my UPS accound so that the number actually appears on my commercial invoices.

  2. More Field Replacement variables in email templates

    Would love to have the ability to include more data into email templates, specifically Destination Country, Destination ZIP or Postal Code, list of product SKU numbers, etc.

    This would be great to personalize emails.

  3. Add Pinterest to social banners

    I use Pinterest to market my business in addition to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It would be great if Pinterest could be added as an option for the social media buttons that are included in customer emails and the custom tracking pages.

  4. Lifetime Order Count

    This was actually mentioned a while ago, but didn't seem to gain a lot of traction. It would be incredibly valuable for our business to have a lifetime order total field in shipstation for automation. Given the current set-up, a user cannot automatically trigger different applications for different lifetime order counts.

    And as you're already tracking the orders (when you click on a customer), it would just be adding a sum count function as a column and would allow businesses to create longitudinal customer solutions which trigger as they continue to order. As is we will have to do this…

  5. Branded Returns Portal Error - Customers cannot return within return window

    When customers attempt to make a return well within their return window, the branded returns portal will sometimes take them to a page that says "Please contact us about your order."

    Initially I was under the impression this only happened to international orders, but it happens to domestic orders as well and it makes customers think that we are trying to delay their return.

    Please consider making this a high priority issue.

    Hi @David CT, thanks for bringing this up! There could be a few things that are stopping your customers from making a return so for a more detailed reason why your specific order has been stopped I recommend reaching out to our folks here by going to help.shipstation.com and submitting a request.

  6. Slack Webhook Support

    Slack has a particular format that webhooks have to be in. Right now the ship station webhook does not work with slack. It would be great to have this integrated. Their standard is explained here: https://api.slack.com/incoming-webhooks

  7. Link to Big Commerce Order

    BigCommerce's native "Shipped" email includes a link to the customer's order online. Can ShipStation's "Shipped" email notification include this link as well? Then we don't have to use BC's emails at all and send a single email instead of 2.

    Hi @Mary! Thanks for bringing this up. While we wait for more users to chime in here, can you tell us more about these two emails your users are receiving? What type of information is included in each email?

  8. bbc only on delivery notifications

    Have the ability to BBC your self on Delivery notifications ONLY.
    Currently when you BCC your self you will get the shipping notification and the delivery notification. That adds too many unnecessary emails since we already know when we shipped the order so we don't need to get that email. I would like to be notified when the package was delivered with out receiving the shipping notifications.

  9. Notification Instant or Mail Stream on Individual Orders

    It would be awesome if there was a way to select "Notify when it hits the mail stream" or "Notify immediately" was an option that could be selected individually.
    We have some items that have a delay before they ship, and customers always call because the tracking number shows no movement, and other orders that ship immediately.

  10. reference

    Allow to put reference numbers on NON-Order Labels.

    This will allow sending a label or return label and reference your own order numbers, and not shipstations auto-generated RMA, which is sort of useless.

  11. Buyer company name

    Include the Buyer company name on the email template fields. Currently, the only buyer field that Shipstation holds onto would be the buyer name. I can include the buyer name on the shipment notification but you do not currently have a way to include a field replacement for the buyer company name on the email. This would be helpful for our internal email notifications, so at a glance we can see which customer an order belongs to.

  12. Addon Products

    I need the ability to use a template tag or product selection to use in an email communication that allows me to upsell and suggest other products to purchase from the store or marketplace they bought from.

    The email is already allowed to the customer since it informs them of shipment or delivery. Why not take advantage of it to suggest other products that are popular or that you want to promote.

    A logical use of communication.

    It would also be really helpful to have this as an option in branded pages as well.

  13. Allow me to add customers into address book without having to create an order or input email

    I am sending out a lot of samples and it's really frustrating that I can't import my customers and have them saved if they don't have an email address. I had to import them and already create orders for them, but I don't want to categorize them like that just yet because I'm not ready to ship. It creates a lot more work on the back end and I'm almost justifying sending out all of my samples (around 200) with another carrier for ease of use and creating a better customer database.

  14. Selection of email address for sending a separate notification with BCC

    We are using TrustPilot to get reviews of the products people are purchasing. We need to send out a BCC to TrustPilot for them to fire a product review after the product has been received. Currently fires the BCC every time. We need to select what templates get an additional BCC sent out. Otherwise the customer will get multiple emails to review the product.

    Ability to download tracking information for SurePost and Mail Innovations?!?!

    Would like to be able ot email the customer both tracking numbers and explain that one log is a transfer (hand off) from UPS to USPS.

  16. Add SHIPPING PAID TOTAL attribute to automated email templates

    I am working with a 3PL that requires constant confirmation to individual clients about which orders have been received and which orders have been shipped.

    Currently, there is no way to attach a SHIPPING PAID TOTAL attribute to an email template. This would allow me to automate communication involving a critical piece of invoicing information for a wholesale client that ships based on NET15 and NET30 terms without manually sending a summarized export.

  17. blind Copy on return labels

    It would be great to include a BCC option on return label emails sent to customers. This way we can keep records of all communication sent from ShipStation.

    Hey, @Shannon, thank you for taking the time to bring this up! We’ll keep your feedback in mind when updating the return label functionality, and for now, we’d like to see other users add their support to your idea before moving forward.

    In the meantime, there are two things you may be interested if this information is important to you today.

    1. Add your company email address when emailing the return label to a customer. Your customer will be able to see all of the emails this is sent to—perhaps making it easier to identify your business.
    You’ll want to separate the email addresses with a comma like this: “john.customer@email.com, mycompanyname@company.com

    2. On the Returns section of the Shipments page, you can export your returns data. In the file, the header “ForwardTo” (column AZ) will list the email addresses you’ve sent return labels to.

  18. tags

    I need to tag orders that come in from Magento with the color of enveloppe I used to ship them out. I would like that tag to follow the customer so that the next time Magento sends me an order from the same person, I can use a different color enveloppe (and tag that new color). Basically I would like a way to monitor which color I've shipped to each customer and keep it updated with every new order.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this idea @Mohamed! We have tags that you can add to a customer record that will apply to the next order that comes in, there isn’t quite a way to have it the other way around (apply a customer tag to an order and have the customer record retain that tag) or is a two-way street.

    We’ll keep your feedback in mind when we update our Customers page, but for now we’d like to see other users chime in (like @Kevin! Thank you!) and add their support for your idea before moving forward.

    Here’s something you can try today, if feasible for your operation: You may be able to use the Customer History info when you hover over the recipient name. So if you see they have ordered in the past (and have a customer record), you can perform a Quick Search…

  19. add the ability to send customers the actual declared value on our custom template for our Shipment Notifications

    Would like to be able to send our international customers the actual declared value of the shipped item(s) on our custom template for our Shipment Notifications. International customers need to know the declared value before attempting to take delivery - so all the values match what is on record with customs. This could be done with a similar function to the already existing "SHOWCOST" function... something like "SHOWVALUE". thanks

  20. return

    Currently when we create a manual return for a customer, it defaults to our default shipping address. However we would like it to go to a different one as it should be attentioned to a different department.

    It would be smart when we create a return that it automatically defaults to that shipping address.
